Room was comfortable and clean. Good bedding and bathroom facilities

Cons:

In our room (5) we could hear a door slamming directly under our room. It stopped in late evening so I guess it was something to do with the kitchen. No hot breakfast available.

Comfy country pub, popular with locals.
Good local real ale.

Cons:

Had to find my own way in at 10.40 on a saturday night as main building was shut - would've been fine if I was told about the rear door earlier...

Nice place (apart from A4 traffic noise). No breakfast was a nasty surprise.
Pros:

Very good food - but small portions

Cons:

No one has old me they didn’t serve breakfast. I’m going n an 8 day long distance fund raising run so I have to set off for 14 miles with no breakfast. I would have booked elsewhere if I’d been informed.

A bit disappointing.
Pros:

Room was clean and bed was comfortable

Cons:

Very creaky floor, (#5) and could hear other rooms floors too. Lots of banging from kitchen below and other rooms, at one point my room shook. Noisy children outside late into the evening. Only one milk sachet for a double room and no breakfast facilities. Staff were not very offay with things.

The new owner is really making a difference. A lot of improvements already made and continue to. The gardens are looking fantastic, new outdoor area and furniture too.
Friendly staff and wow - the chef is amazing! . Do stay for a meal - incredible!
I would really recommend you consider this property for an overnight stay and dinner.

Pros:

I was disappointed as when I made the booking it says breakfast included, once I confirmed the booking it said room only, the property still says breakfast available but this is not an option and misleading, I have complained to Expedia, but this has not changed
