Pros:

Ocean Voyage, whose name sounds like a poetry, is a welcoming guest house held by an old couple and their son(s). It is ideally situated nearby the beach and most of the tourist - commercial - attractions: restaurants and bars in Tangalle. The house itself is in decent shape and the rooms are comfortable enough. The beds in particular are huge. To the point one can wonder if the whole beds 'aren't' practically the rooms. You'll benefit from a small 'alley' around the bed to circulate and put some things (keys, tickets, dice, little things), but you'll have to get organised to put your luggage aside. Underneath the bed maybe. Other than that the beds are comfortable and nicely surrounded by a net to keep mosquitoes and little tropical monsters away from the contact of your skin. Funny fact: the bathroom sink taps are possibly the only ones in all the whole island whose bodies do not turn completely with the movement of your hand when you turn them on. That simple curiosity is worth a visit to the place.

Pros:

The price considered the quality was very good. Small room with limited furniture. Tiled washroom, friendly personnel, mosquito net ok, functioning wifi, and warm shower! And AC. Within walking distance from the beach and not far from city centre either. Only fridge could have been needed.

Sehr freundliche hotelbesitzer und nahe am strand
Pros:

Wir hatten hier einen 4 wochen aufenthalt und es war ein sehr schöner urlaub! Die hotelbesitzer waren sehr zuvorkommend und wir waren für sie wie familienmitglieder. Sie waren sehr hilfsbereit und haben uns auch einige ausflüge empfohlen, wie nach rekawa, matera, galle, yala und einige tempel. Sehr empfählenswert
