I understand that prepaid and non-refundable reservations come with restrictions. However, I was extremely disappointed by the lack of flexibility and customer care shown throughout this experience.
I contacted the property multiple times regarding an unexpected personal emergency and respectfully requested consideration in the form of a partial refund, future credit, or revised travel dates. Responses often took close to a week between replies and ultimately offered no meaningful assistance.
What made this especially disappointing was that several other hotels on the same multi-city European trip — including prepaid reservations — were willing to show at least some level of understanding or good will. Unfortunately, this property chose not to.
As an ALL Accor member who has done considerable previous business with Accor properties, that made the experience even more frustrating.
Policies are one thing. How a hotel chooses to treat guests is another. Based on this experience — especially for an airport hotel where travel plans can and do change — I would be very cautious about booking a prepaid reservation here in the future.
Arrival was perfect, receptionist (Yingyi) very friendly and helpful advising me about the local area. Room was very clean and had everything needed. Breakfast had a good selection and a spacious seating area. I liked how easy it is to access the airport and central Amsterdam by a short train ride. Perfect location and a really nice hotel.
I could not have improved anything it was all great.
It's fairly quiet during the night.
Old hotel, in need of renovation. My shower cabin was leaking into the bathroom and some engineering genius did not put drainers in the bathroom, so when taking shower, I was getting a small pond in my room. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired - carpets are dirty, hairs and dust in the room, dirty dishes and silverware during breakfast. Speaking of breakfast - it's extremely limited - literally just eggs, a few cold cuts/cheese, bread, and that's it. The staff is generally friendly and kind, but inexperienced and not properly trained. It's the third time I've been there and every time they have to (very slowly and with errors) re-enter my company's information for the invoice, even though each time they assure me that "it is now saved and will appear automatically next time". Zero amenities, not even a bottle of water in the rooms. 200 EUR per night is insanely and outrageously high price for what this 3 star hotel has to offer.
The hotel was easy to reach from the airport — just one stop by train. I was able to find it without difficulty, even without internet access.
The Wi-Fi in the room worked well. The front desk staff handled everything smoothly, even with my limited English. The room was clean and well-equipped, and I felt at ease throughout my stay.
There were chocolates and honey candies in the room. The honey candies had a strong scent, but they came in handy when I had a sore throat during my trip. There was also an espresso machine, although I wasn’t quite sure how to use it.
I would recommend this hotel, especially for those arriving in the evening or visiting Europe for the first time.
Room was not cleaned properly. no complimentary was kept. bed cover and towels not cleaned or not washed one.
Location: very good location if you are flying from Amsterdam Airport. Hoofdrop train station is a 3-4 min walk from the hotel. It is then a 5-10 minute train ride to the airport.
Check-in: we could not pay by card since their system was not working. We had to find an ATM in the town center of Hoofdorp (15 min walk). Not the best start.
Restaurant: good restaurant. caters for kids.
Room: family room is on the small side, but ok for 1 night.
Все было отлично, не было минусов проживания
The property was nice. The parking was a little tricky but we managed.
We arrived late and was exhausted. My kids were in the car sleeping and instead of giving us a call to inform us that something was wrong with the room, we arrived and was told that the only room they had available had no lights. We took it because we were told it would take a while for the tech to come or we could be rebooked at a different hotel but it’s busy so that would also take some time to find a room. We accepted the room, we are pooped, and told that the next day someone would come to take care of the lights. We arrived after a fun day to find that the lights are still not working. My daughters needed a shower so they did that and the shower wouldn’t drain…. Go down to the lobby to see what’s going on and they offered us to move, we did so. I woke up covered in bug bits. I’m most upset that we weren’t informed prior to arrival that the room we booked had issues and then not been resolved. The communication was poor.
