Sheraton Harbin Xiangfang Hotel

Front desk female staff. Black curly pony tail. Your service attitude needs improvement. Not a tiny drop of smile. Showed impatient when asked to clarify directions to nearest 超市.
Single handedly dampen Marriott Bonvoy's good reputation. Housekeeping team, restaurant team and bell boy team did wonderfully. Hotel itself is great.

Sucks hotel and service. They think they are the only 5 stars hotel in harbin and powerful, need no clients anymore. Disgrace and very bad attitude handling complaint. Too bad. In fact, the hotel is good, bfast quitebgood compared to other hotels due its 5 stars, only service is not up to par

My friend had left her universal charger and shawl in the hotel when we checked out and only realised that after we checked into another hotel. When we called up the hotel to verify, they confirmed with us that we had indeed left those items in the room and they will help us keep the items till we head back to the hotel again few days later. Really thankful for their amazing service!

Stayed at this Sheraton for a few days while I was visiting Harbin's famous ice castles, snow sculptures, & historical districts. It's not all that close to these attractions-- but the cab drivers are familiar with this hotel and were able to ferry me back & forth in about 20-25 minutes rather cheaply. (Can't give actual estimates, as the rates were increased due to the Chinese New Year holiday).

I found my room to be very well equipped-- lots of toiletries, a wonderfully cozy robe (necessary for Harbin in January). I stayed in one of the very cute "family" rooms, despite the fact that it was just me, because the pictures online were so cute. I would highly recommend for the fun photos alone.

And I cannot say enough good things about the hotel dining. I went to the traditional Chinese restaurant for dinner one night, and despite the fact that there was no English menu, I managed alright. Staff made me feel very welcome, and tried their best to understand my ordering, wherein I just pointed at pictures of food on my phone.

Anyway, it's a great place to bring kids & relax in Harbin, even if it is a bit farther away from the ice castles & what not.

This is one of the most poorly-managed large-chain hotels we have encountered in a decade and a half of traveling in China. It was an exhausting and dispiriting experience from start to finish; not something we expected to encounter in a Sheraton. First, after having booked a non-smoking room, we were taken to a room that stank of cigarettes, and had to request a transfer. Both rooms were extremely hot and stuffy -- a problem we assumed could be fixed by turning on the AC on the wall and adjusting the temperature. The room only got hotter, and we were informed that the temperature is centrally controlled and that at this time of year the AC only dispenses hot air. (These conversations were held in Chinese; the halting English of the staff made that the faster option.) A sleepless sweaty night and a few bad staff encounters later (an old AC fan that turned out not to work was delivered to our room, flashing a light that read, "Out of water;" when we called again for help, a woman stomped upstairs, shoved open one of the windows, said, "You can't adjust the temperature," and stomped out), we decided to look for another hotel in Harbin and cancelled our second night's stay. The response of the assistant manager, Zoe Zhao/ Zhao Huiyuan, was what clinched this decision. She blandly told us that hot rooms were what we had to expect on a high floor in springtime, and did not bother to apologize for what we told her had been a sleepless night. She did offer to put us on a lower, smoking floor, but by this time we had had enough.

We were quite pleased with the overall great services at Sheraton Harbin XiangFang Hotel during our 4 nights stay (April 29 to May 02). The hotel is at a pretty convenient location which is adjacent to shopping center with supermarkets and many restaurants near-by.

The check-in process was efficient with details provided to customers in quick pace. The bell service was doing a good job in helping customers with their luggage. Great thanks to Nick Wang and all the bell staff for doing a magnificent job and provided a good initial image of the hotel.

Another amazing job was done by the housekeeping crew (Yeung and Yu). They did perfect job in maintaining our room (Room #1928) always in excellent conditions and they never missed any replenishment of supplies. Also they had left a post card daily on the table with good wordings which provided warm feelings to hotel guests. Very appreciated for their great effort.

Only complaint was in the restaurant area. The quality of food and service for the breakfast were below par and needed more attention. Servers usually wandering around and pretended not seeing the dishes on the table. Sometimes they even ignored the customers for their need of services. It seems better management care is required at the restaurant.
We then headed to Executive Lounge for breakfast after day one. The feeling was totally different. Despite the food selection is not as much as the restaurant. Their service was excellent and the staff was sincere and professional. They tried very hard to answer questions from the hotel guests and provided us good information for our trip planning. Special thanks to Lena Liu, Bonnie Shang for their outstanding job at the executive lounge.

Overall I am still very impressed about this hotel for their superior customer service despite the need of management attention at the restaurant.

Overall, it was above my expectations. Room was clean, very spacious and staffs were friendly and responsive. The room even came with a fire escape hood! I have never seen it in any hotels before, so it was cool for me! No hiccup for us throughout our stay and we were very happy.

Rooms OK but as usual far too hot. Staff were almost invisible.breakfast a farce as no one appeared until 7 am even though breakfast was from 6am...poor quality and rolls etc stale...not what you would expect from the Sheraton

The hotel itself was very good, the room being spacious and comfortable. Although well out of central Harbin there are plenty of shops very close to the hotel. We were there for three nights and on each morning the experience at breakfast was unbelievable for a Sheraton Hotel. The staff were lazy in that they neglected to set tables properly with cutlery and napkins. When asked for cutlery they would just take it off another table rather than making the effort to get more. They did not ensure that used plates were cleared away promptly, letting them pile up on the small tables and were often very slow to replace food on the buffet and seemed to ignore most requests from diners. Much of the food was not hot, even the fried eggs were cold. One morning there were no omelettes or other eggs available for a while. The man then casually walked in, obviously quite late for work. Obviously the management allow them to adopt this deplorable 'couldn't care less' attitude.

Me and my friends, a group of 13pax stayed here for our harbin trip. Stayed for 3 nights. We were placed at a high floor thinking it would be nice since for the view etc. During the night, we realized that there is no AC only heater since its cold weather, we called to ask for humidifier so they gave, but after that night STILL, we werent able to sleep so well since its really not cold enough and air is so dry. Made most of us have dry throat, WATER is much needed during the night. Kept on waking up to drink water. 2nd day, me and my friends talked about how we felt with our room and everyone also agreed thats how they felt. One of our friends realized to switch to a lower floor as the saying goes cold air goes down. True enough when we transferred its colder and we had better sleep.

I suggest to hotel if your not going to turn on AC, please put humidifier right away. As it is expected your guests are going to feel that way when placed on a high floor. Another suggestion is to put atleast 4 bottled water each room.

We stayed here one night.
Loved the location-there is a supermarket nearby.
You can buy 'modern' ice-cream from hotel lobby.
We had a very good night sleep.
Breakfast is superb with wide choice of food.
However, we spotted a chipped mug at the restaurant.

Everything was in order from the point of check-in into guest rooms to food & beverage outlet. The breakfast offers lots of varieties and the noodle soup was great too.
The Christmas ambiance was there, and so welcoming...

Check in tonight 9.00pm after visiting China Harbin Ice and Snow World. The double room was fairly large and comfortable. Basic drinking water and toiletries were supplied.
A beautiful bathtub to soak in after a freezing day out. The problem I had was after filling half a tub of hot water, the tap start draining in ice cold water.
Had to use the shower instead. There wasn’t anymore hot water either. I call the reception and they say I have to wait half an hour for the tank to generate hot water.
Sheraton name gave me the impression of a four star hotel. I was rather disappointed!

1. This hotel is "far away" from downtown Harbin. 2. Don't trust the map. When it gets traffic jam, you will need 1 and half hours to get to the airport. 3. I share with others in that the biggest complaint is a lack of the staff's profesisonalism and tardiness. Checkin takes 15 minutes. Checkout takes 20 minutes. 4. Once checked in, the locker was locked. You need a staff (which took another 15 minutes) to open it for you. 5. Some leftover food from the previous night was served in the breakfast. 6. This hotel is mainly for airline staff for group discounts and group tours for cheap discounts. Nothing to see around. It's in the middle of nowhere. And when you have an unprofessional staff, it will sure to ruin your holiday/business. Don't tell me I didn't warn you.

Though far away from city center but really enjoy the tranquility here.
The lobby is large and bright ,esp the flowers here are beautiful.
The service is good ,buti quote appreciate the new and top quality of elevators.

I had read reviews about this property and couldn't disagree more with the negative reviews. The hotel was only a 45 min Didi ride from the airport, I had a nice check in experience with Nicole, and I was uograded to a lovely suite on the highest floor. The club lounge was beautifully decorated. Breakfast was tasty, and the staff were extremely attentive. I would certainly stay here again without hesitation. The prices are great, platinum recognition is excellent, and it was nice to do laundry with reasonable prices and quick service. I look forward to my next stay.

Hotel is very nice. Rooms are large, well-equipped, and clear. Staff is kind and skilled. My accomodation was on the 20th floor with a good noise isolation. There is a nice swimmimg pool on the 7th floor. Business hours are 6:30-22:30. Water temperature is +27 degrees (C). In the morning there were not many visitors. Unfortunately Chiness guests with small children occupied pool afternoon. Children prevented swimming. Parents did not control them. The staff also did not make any comments to them. Breakfast was delicious. Location of the hotel is not convenient. It takes about 1,5 hours to reach airport and 1 hour - city center.
