The Batik Medan is nice place to stay 1-2nts. But the ‘Economy’ cabin is without windows. So room air a bit stale. Breakfast was cold without warmers and flies zooming. Price is good but need improve on quality to be better. Nevertheless. Kudos to Hskp staff ARMUDA,he keep our room clean. Terima kasih bynk Pak
Wonderful stay here, hope to stay again. Wonderful experience there. Hope can have better breakfast choices. Hope can have better shower gel and replenishment done everyday.
Rooms were clean and comfortable, food was good, location was not bad, staff very friendly and helpful. It's a fairly new place, no maintenance issues. There is also a high-end batik store on the ground floor, too rich for our tastes!
overall was fine. will consider to stay again in future.
I came back here to stay after a gap of 2 years and was looking forward to enjoying myself again but the hotel is no longer the same, the Night Manager in particular was rude and disrespectful to me and my wife so I will never come back again. The staff were nice but the attitude of the management was too rude for me to consider it again.
Luckily we stayed only 1 night. And the experience is already bad.
We arrive at 9pm at night. There was no problem drg check in.
The room is very small, no windows, and smells like smoking room even they said it is a non smoking room. We accepted the room since it was late already and we were tired.
The drainage of the bathroom is really bad. The water comes out to the room floor then we have to dry it with towel before sleep.
The breakfast is not good. Not many varieties and the taste is just ok, not good. The fee for extra breakfast is overpriced, 70k/pax with that limited and non tasty food.
The night before, we stayed in other hotel in the city centre with a lower price and much better experience that is why I say this hotel is a rip off. The room in the other one is bigger, the location is better, the breakfast is nicer and more variety, also the extra breakfast costs only 30k/pax.
To make everything worse, during the check out the give us an unpleasant experience. The receptionist said there is yellow dirt on the pillow cases. I didn't use any cream or anything that will stain the fabric. The housekeeper brought down the pillow cases and the bed sheet. They showed us the stains. It is actually the stains that seems there for a long time from an old fabric. It has nothing to do with us. We argue with the receptionist and they accepted that it was not our fault without even saying SORRY.
Please don't stay here.
Batik Hotel offers a good basic facilities for working trip stop over. Only the Batik price at the store/boutique is very pricey.
Check in hotel without window ,
request for window have to pay extra RP200,000 per room for 2 night
we pay RP400,000.
1) check in no window
2) move to window room , Air condition not working move again.
3) At last .
For business and leisure trip, we can stay at this minimalist hotel with good food and beverage for breakfast. Although the room space is not large but we still can enjoy the facility of salon and spa for ladies near reception area.
Smallish Room but suited what needed very helpful in getting driver for Latina trip
What is there to say? I hated it
Absolutely Poor WIFI and Lazy Night Shift front desk staff. Approached front desk and found him sleeping and asked to look into the wifi issues as it's not connecting throughout the whole night. Gave unacceptable excuses such as, no technician and only available at 10.00am. Assured me that he will inform morning shift to follow up and upon checking with front desk, No communication took place. Insisted to change room. Found wifi is intermittently connecting. What a Disaster.
Everything is good just the bad part is wall soundproof need improvement
I booked one night because I wasn’t sure the condition of the hotel and that thinking paid off for me. First the hotel is new and clean the problem was the room the room was so small you can only get to the bed on one side! Second problem is the bathroom as soon as you take shower you see the water running to bed because the shower has zero gab to hold water for those reasons I decided to check out next morning.
Having said that, the staff were good and helpful, it’s breakfast also good overall the hotel is New and has mini refrigerator and tea what kills the deal is the rooms and bathroom condition.
Loved it. The only issue was aircon was a bit slow. Other than that great hotel and great staff.
Economical does not mean cheap, and of course, there are things that are less than what we expect, even though our needs are met. Hotel Batik gives, at least, what we need. Comfortable rooms, strategic location and friendly staff at economical rates. The annoying little thing about this hotel is that its rooms are less soundproof, so sometimes the sound from the hall or other room can be heard from your room.
came to this hotel with my friend for a 3D2N stay in medan.
This is my first experience staying at hotel batik, medan. The room is very small, not recommended to share room as there is no space to move. I have booked business room, which should have window, but the window is like 7 cm wide and the view is another wall. Be careful when using bathroom, drainage is bad and it takes long time until water set aside. variety of food is very limited and staff very slow to refill food. also there is this rules that only allowed you to keep bagagge at hotel until 2 pm and above it you will be charged 50 % room price. this rules is not written in their hotel policy when i booked in traveloka. As my flight is at night, i tried to asked staff to keep my lugagge until 5 pm, but staff is not helpful at all. never had experience and find this rules at others hotel in indonesia before. totally not recommended if you have night or late flight.
The hotel is excellent value for price. We stayed there for 4 nights and during our stay we found the staffs to be polite and helpful, room service was good. And the place was clean with proper amenities.
If you are visiting Medan for the first time, the location of the hotel is nearby to the malls, eatery places. Uber is excellent for moving around in Uber and I found most of the places back to hotel was very reasonable price in Uber.
The hotel own food for breakfast was little choices of items but enough for us.
I would totally recommend this place if you are visiting Medan for a trip and want to stay at a place which is clean, nice and comfortable yet within your budget.
This is an average budget hotel. The room we had was quite small with no window but comfortable enough.
On the downside the hotel is quite a walk from the centre, which is not necessarily a nice experience at night. Also, we had a room on the second floor near the elevator and it was quite difficult to sleep due to the sounds from the reception area, but maybe that was specific for the room.
