Pros:

Very convenient location. Clean facility.

Cons:

Bed was too firm, and too high for me to get into it easily (I am 5'1" tall). The tub was very slick, and it would benefit from another grab bar in the shower.l

The hotel was clean and very nice.

Cons:

There was an entire group of hockey kids staying the same weekend they played hockey all hours of the night banging on walls and floors . We had to get up early due to my son competition trap shooting so got no rest. The staff finally tried to address it after we would call in the middle of the night. The parents were allowed to sit in the lobby listening to loud music and drinking while the children were unattended all over the hotel. Then during a tornado warning we went to sit down in the lobby had no instructions on what to do and the parents continued to drink and the kids ran around screaming.

We left & spent the night at a Holiday inn Express in Olathe. Excellent

We did not stay the night at the Holiday Inn Express in Shawnee. . My husband is disabled from a stroke & is on a walker. He was very tired when we checked in. The desk clerk gave us a room that was on the 2nd floor way at the end of the hall. We had asked for a ADA room. Only 1 elevator was working. It was dark & dingy Not a good IHG example

Pros:

Hands down the worst holiday inn we have ever stayed. An elevator was out of service, ice machine on 3rd floor out of service, there was food under the mattress of the hideabed. Room did not feel clean. Hallway felt like we were in the ghetto. I should have taken photos to document.

Quiet room
Pros:

Room was quiet and comfortable.

Cons:

Breakfast was not appealing- coffee had grounds, milk was questionable, didn't want to go last day.
No nightlight in bathroom. Had to turn on very bright light in middle of night.

Pros:

The property was under construction we found when we checked in. There was only 1 elevator that worked and it was very slow to go up and down 4 floors and the door was very quick to close before you could get in or out. The shower in the room was as slick as glass when wet. I almost slipped twice the first night. I inquired about a shower tub mat and was told I had permission to use a wash cloth to stand on. I had to buy a bath mat to keep from slipping in the shower. The breakfast room was very hot. the coffee was very good and hot. The breakfast was ok the pancake maker was fun to use.
