Horrible, disgusted and makes you want to vomit!!!
Pros:

Absolutely nothing! Disgusting place and worst costumer service you’ll ever receive! STAY AWAY!!!!

Cons:

The second you step into this disgusting place, you’ll find rubbish on the floors, huge cigarettes smell in their foyer and so call restaurant and everything is so dirty and repulsive! Cannot stress this enough- Stay Away!!!

Pros:

Staff are always lovely and welcoming, helpful and accommodating. The location is amazing if you are wanting explore the city. Bus stop downstairs takes you into the city. Free parking to leave your car behind the pub so you can use public transport instead. The family room layout was fantastic, we had the dual rooms this time and was great with our teens. The comfy beds are wonderfulto sink into after a day in the city. The decor, styling and the historic fixtures of this old pub at stunning and it really is a beautiful pub.

Cons:

So much dust in our rooms this visit. Thick on the picture rails, i had to move our bed to get to a power point and the wall, the bed, the skirting and floor was thick with dust bunnies. The cleaners need to move the furniture when they clean, not just vacuum around items. Same with wiping down the picture rails & tops of wardrobes. All 4 of us needed antihistamines everyday due to the amount of dust in the rooms while we slept setting off our noses with sneezing and burning eyes. We are not a family that usually need to take antihistamines either. It normally isn't like this, we have stayed multiple times here and haven't experienced unclean bedrooms before.

The shared floor bathrooms are never really fully clean but they also were much worse this trip.

The smoking was very disappointing too. It is a no smoking floor but the smell was thick and other guests obviously were smoking inside, in the shared bathrooms and other common areas. Not much air flow so the smell was always present. I couldn't use one toilet at one point as the smell of cigarettes was suffocating in there. Not great when it is a no smoking and family friendly space. This is also not typical from our past stays here and hopefully not something that will continue to be a problem for other guests.

Hard to sleep with the noise from the pub, its as expected but it was quite loud

If you like a quiet place, try a different place.

Cons:

Very very noisy. During my stay drinking/drunk patrons were constantly cussing, shouting, banging tables and everything can be heard in the rooms. Couldn't rest until the pub is closed at around past midnight.

Convenient location
Pros:

There is a frequent bus (120) stopping right outside the hotel, which takes only 15 minutes into downtown. Staff was very friendly. There are nice areas to hang out as well.

Cons:

Bed was too soft. The room was not very soundproofed, so the pub crowd downstairs was quite hearable.

Comfortable beds, free parking, close to most things however needs some improvements.

Cons:

The communal bathroom had broken tiles which was sharp on our feet. Water pooled deep as we stepped out of the shower. The metal trim holding down the flooring surfaces between the hallway and toilet had lifted and my child stubbed his toe. Complimentary shampoo and soap dispensers broken off the wall. TV so tiny you need good eye sight. No UHT milks in room to make a cuppa.

Cons:

We had booked two rooms and due to illness could only use one. Even though the hotel was not fully booked they declined a refund on the unused room. Very disappointing

Great location, awesome old pub
Pros:

excellent location to jump on a bus and 15 mins at QVB
easy to get home too as well, quick access from hwy for uber and taxi

It was short but sweet and fulfilled my expectations.
Pros:

The room was adequate and the bed was comfy. I was only there overnight but the kitchen and bathroom facilities were very good and the staff friendly.

Cons:

I had an early morning departure and when I got downstairs with my luggage I couldn't work out how to open the door
until I just pushed the horizontal railings in the middle of the doors and it opened. I almost missed my taxi.
