Bridgeview Hotel Willoughby

Willoughby rd is a bit noisy.

Shower gel dispenser in the bathroom doesn’t work.
Extra water in room on second day would have been helpful

I’ll keep it short — unfit for purpose, seeking reimbursement

We booked two rooms for the kids and us

It was a stinking hot night and the Airconditioning units, despite being set at the lowest temperature, barely provided us with air that was less hot than outside air (probably still 30 degrees in the room!) - when asked about it all the staff could says was that the aircon units were all sharing one compressor on the roof. Clearly under dimensioned for the Australian conditions

At some point we switched the fan light on, an then the remote completely stopped working (not a battery issu. We were not able to switch the light off, or reach the ceiling fan (too high) to unscrew the light bulb, so my wife decided to sleep here anyway with a pillow on their head, and I went to sleep on the floor in the kids room so I wouldn’t have a bright white light in my face…

Shared toilet stunk badly and door wouldn’t stay closed, bathroom smelled a bit of mould

Staff was nice enough with all the issues we had, but it seems like they are fighting with management about a whole lot of issues.

We called next day after checking out, to seek reimbursement which is being processed (still!). Absolut travesti of an experience (besides the fund story we now share with the kids). Next time we spend $100 more and stay in the city in a decent hotel. For $400 you can stay at the Shangri La in a much better room than this!!

The bathrooms were not cleaned during our 2 night stay particularly the sink and toilets were dirty

) Aircond old and squeaky, pls get it changed to a new one
2) room door no. 16 squeaky when open or close disturbing other hotel guests , kindly lubricate those door joints with oil
3) carpets outside doorway kindly vacuum and aromatise them to have a fresh indoor fragrance , smells old and unhealthy now , better still change to new carpets !
4) cleaner kitchen and fridge
5) directions where to return room key and check out if earlier than 10am

Will be very grateful if the above steps are taken to improve guests stay cos we will come again !

Room that I stayed in had a faulty AC, and the hotel was full so could not be moved… was unfortunately als a very hot / humid day and might…

The aircon did not work, it was such a hot room struggle to get to sleep.

The aircon didn’t work properly so I could not sleep. The room was also dirty - bits of rubbish on the ground, a weird stain on the curtain above the bed and a film of dust on the carpet. No toilet paper in the toilets either.

Kitchen was a bit dirty, had a weird smell to it depending on who was here at the time. It would've been nice to have a small bar fridge but that's neither here nor there.
