Purple Hotels Resorts

Nice Resort ...Enjoyed ...Definitely would love to stay once I visit Pondicherry next time

Our stay at Purple resorts was not so good... The housekeeping and the staff is extremely lazy... the property must be well built earlier though it's in a bad condition due to lack of maintainence... I would not recommend anyone to stay here... :(

the hotel service was poor and unaccommodating. I checked in after 12, but had to wait 30 minutes for a room to be cleaned and the hotel was clearly not full. the young woman who checked me in was extremely rude and distracted. the Wi-Fi in my room did not work so I requested a room change and was told that wifi is available for all rooms. When i insisted I was told that someone would come to fix the wifi. no one came and I asked for assistance four separate times and was ignored. i was never able to use the wifi. the rooms are decent, but the shower drain emanates a foul smell. the pool is nice.

The hotel is in the Pondicherry Territory- not in the town of Pondicherry and is close to Auroville. The photo depicting the hotel is not truthful. The staff tried but didn't understand that I wanted a wifi password that worked, I was given the wrong password twice, on the third try finally I got onto the wifi!
The restaurant is basic and there was confusion about the menu choices, there are two different menus, only one has the specials from the specials board. We were served a brownie before our main course even though we didn't order it and we couldn't eat it but we were still charged for it. Breakfast is included in the room rate but isn't served until 8.30am. The breakfast was a mixture of Indian breakfast food and western continental breakfast.
The rooms were basic and a bit rundown, there is a microwave, crockery, cutlery and electric kettle, no fridge. The toilet paper in my bathroom was wet from the previous guest shower. There was no information in the room about the wifi and room service and reception numbers, the staff keep insisting there was. The staff insisted that the hotel is close to the beach the Auroville beach is 3 kms from the hotel, that is not close!
We will not be staying at this again.
