Choose life
Pros:

Choose a Corby trouser press, Choose a shoe polisher in the hallway, Choose Strathburn Hotel Inverurie.

Step back in time to when hotels were HOTELS. Rooms that opened with an actual key, telephone bedside, rooms complete with kettle, television and Corby trouser press.

The best things at the Strathburn Hotel the included manned reception, gym membership if you want it at the gym across the road and incredible cooked breakfast.

And take a short walk to the historic Brandsbutt Stone complete with Pictish symbol.

The old fashioned service at reception and breakfast stands the test of time.

Cons:

All in all a little tired perhaps, and no evening meal restaurant as two chefs had recently left at time of my visit.

Wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable stay. Slept so well
Pros:

The property is well located, on site parking and a very comfortable place to stay. The reception staff were all great and Charlie was exceptionally helpful. I slept wonderfully well and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Would definitely stay again and it represents excellent value for money.

The Manager was extremely helpful and informative, and always available for assistance.
Pros:

Breakfast was always wonderful, and very good value.. Also, clean and quiet

We did have problems with hot water, and trying to use bath/shower/

Pros:

The staff were amazing they couldnt do enough for youwe brought our dog riley and he got lots of cuddles he loved it too

Cons:

We had room 29 it had no view when everyone else had a lovely view so definitely think that room should be cheaper

Staff were incredibly helpful. Slightly dated but clean and adequate room, breakfast was very good
Pros:

Staff were exceptional and very friendly, relaxed especially the duty manager who arranged everything that wasn’t correct via the booking.com reservation

Cons:

Had to pay extra to accommodate our two dogs and had to pay for breakfast. It had all appeared to be included in the booking

Exceptional customer service with good food and ambience
Pros:

We loved the styling of the hotel the prettiness of the seating area and bar. The wonderful food but mostly the staff. The receptionist was amazing with outstanding customer service. He did everything. Exceptional service

Nice hotel with friendly staff in good location.
Pros:

Good location. Nice hotel, the reception, bar and restaurant are lovely. Good value. Staff friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Rooms are satisfactory but a bit tired. Outside really needs a gardener!

Very disappointing and not good value for money
Pros:

Location was good

Cons:

Very tired hotel, We stayed there before in 2000 and it was ok then. However, it clearly hasn't had any form of improvements or upgrades in the last 26 years. Everything aged and in need of total refurbishment.

In it's death throws?
Pros:

Good value. Good location

Cons:

Saturday night and no food on offer. Most beers unavailable. No atmosphere. Dated decor. TBH you'd have a more exciting time at a funeral. This place used to be a very busy hotel with fairly decent food (for a Scottish hotel) but it was frankly dire. If you need somewhere to flop for a night it's ok. Don't visit with your partner

Great value for money
Pros:

Big room. Bar to unwind after a long day. Parking out front. Really good price, excellent value for money. Inverurie is much bigger than expected. Had a great Tandoori chicken at Rajpoot Indian restaurant

Cons:

No kitchen - website indicated a restaurant on site, but upon arrival found out that it is not operating. Breakfast only starts at 8am, I needed to leave before 7am, so no breakfast for me. Shower pressure was very poor

Disappointing as a previous visit was fine. Property is a bit tired and could do with some TLC

The proximity to visiting family.

Cons:

I didn’t like the creaky floorboards from the floor above which kept me awake all night which was a shame because the bed was comfortable.
