A cozy stay in a warm, family-run hotel with very friendly hosts.
Pros:

The location is excellent. It is in a quiet area but only a 5-minute walk from Taksim Square, which was very positive. At first, I was a bit shocked by the room size and the two flights of narrow circular stairs, but the room had a very nice balcony. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and everything was clean. The staff are very friendly. It is a family business, and they made me feel very welcome. The included breakfast was also very good.

Cons:

The room and the stairs were quite dark. However, we noticed the same thing in many restaurants and stores nearby, so maybe this is common in Istanbul.

Great location and value for money
Pros:

Nice and big room, beds were big and comfy. Nice breakfast also. Great location, near Taksim Square.

Cons:

A few minor technical issues, but the manager promised to take care of them, unfortunately he did not have enough time as they happened towards the end of our stay.

Tolle Unterkunft, herzliche Gastgeber, gute Lage in ruhiger Seitenstraße, leckeres Frühstück und 24h Rezeption besetzt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist einfach top!

The room was spacious, The shower really nice and the localisation was amazing

Cons:

The room was not sound insulated. During the night, people from the hotel were discussing in the bar/restaurant, and we had to go twice to ask them to keep their voice lower.
