Weird placement of wash sink...no wi fi, no internet, manager not very welcoming....

Although it didn’t cause any real problem for me, anyone looking to make a booking needs to be aware that there are no staff at the premises and that a refundable deposit is required by the property that would be forfeited if there was any damage to the room during their stay.

Le matelas nous a fait mal au dos, les deux nuits. Pourtant nous avons 40 ans et sommes en bonne santé. C'est dommage.

No air con so the rooms were really hot, paying a deposit for key loss or damage. Noisy sanitation set up.

The greeting was not very friendly. No message that someone was in the reception.

When I got there the landlord met me to let me into the property, but told me to wait outside as he was checking someone else in. I stood there a good 10-15 minutes. Then he frogmarched me military style to my room and barked at me that if I did not use the correct key in my door it would break immediately and he would swipe my £50 deposit. He had an aggressive tone and it was a relief when I was finally allowed to get settled into my room. Once in I did not like the bed, bedding or decor, it was very oppressive. The bed was a double bed and not the luxury kind I would be able to get in other properties for £95 a night. I had a bathroom down the hall also, not an ensuite. In the morning I had to get to my meeting early so went for a shower, and there was a bath where the bath taps did not work, it only had a shower head with no fixing on the wall to attach it to, I had to hold it in my hand and put it down whilst soaping up. Then the water was cold, it was only warm every now and then, coming and going alternating with freezing cold water. I had to wait whilst freezing to try to get rinsed with warm water. The loo was also leaking out the bottom onto the floor. So I called the helpline, which was active from 9am, so I called the emergency number instead. I was greeted not with a "hello, how can I help you?", but "WHAT'S HAPPENED?!?!?!?!?". I told him that the bathroom was unusable and that I wanted my money back for the coming two nights I'd booked and I was moving out. He then said "everything was in full working order yesterday!!!!", accusing me and threatening that he was going to take my deposit and that I must have broken everything in the bathroom then chastised me that the emergency number was "purely for emergencies, not this!!!". So I informed him that my meetings are before 9am and that all I needed was to be able to have a normal warm shower before these to feel clean.

Wifi was very spotty and the TV - presumably also digital - basically didn't work.

Lors de la canicule, absence de circulation d’air, fenêtre pouvant s’ouvrir que de quelques centimètres (surement pour la sécurité anti chute), donc très grosse chaleur (prévoir son propre ventilateur). Pas de wifi fonctionnel depuis la chambre 5 (nos deux téléphones n’arrivaient pas à s’y connecter).
