Pros:

Breakfast was fantastic

Cons:

Internet did not work - unable to open emails or do anything. Had to turn wifi on devices off & use personal hotspot on phone to do any work on laptop.

Fantastisch! Wir kommen wieder.

V pleasant.
Pros:

The hosts were lovely and great customer service from Benjamin. Clean. Lovely breakfast. Quirky and colonial feel to decor. You could sense Geoffrey Bawa’s influence.

Comfortable, clean and great hosts.
Pros:

The staff were so helpful and accommodating and assisted with provided details for onward travel. Also catered for wife's gluten free diet with no problem at all. The building is beautiful and very calming. We're able to get takeaway food and able to sit and eat in the garden area.

Pros:

Beautiful rooms and communal spaces, you can really feel the attention to detail and thought behind the decorations and layout. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. We unexpectedly arrived very late at 00:15 and they still greeted us with a smile, tea and generosity. Breakfast is lovely and it feels so environmentally conscious, water and coffee grounds in glass containers and no plastic in sight. Incredibly good value for money I would definitely stay here if you have the chance.

Beautiful comfortable small boutique hotel with a home away from home feel. Yummy breakfast each day from Mohammed 😋
Great location walking distance to beach, great value for money, very comfortable bed

Cons:

No air conditioning in living areas so a little too hot upstairs to enjoy, no pool

Wonderful
Pros:

We loved our stay at Mount Lodge. The architect, C. Anjalendran, studied under and apprenticed with the legendary Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa, and you can really see and feel those influences in the design and layout of the property.

The rooms are stylish and spotless, adding to the overall sense of comfort and quality. The staff were attentive and wonderful throughout our stay. Afternoon tea was a delightful addition, and breakfast was absolutely divine.

The area is not very close to Colombo’s main attractions, however, tuk tuks are abundant and cheap.
