Gemütlich mit stilvoller englischer Atmosphäre
Pros:

Wir haben etwas nostalgisches, romatisches gesucht und gefunden. Das Hotel hat eine gemütliche Lobby und ein großes Café/Restaurant mit Blick auf’s Meer, wo man auch mal etwas länger sitzen darf, lesen oder spielen kann. Das haben wir sehr genossen. Alle sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück liebevoll à la carte.

Cons:

Nur die komplizierten Bettdecken (Wolldecke, Baumwolltuch, Tagesdecke)- aber der Zimmerservice hat es täglich wieder in Ordnung gebracht…

Pros:

I had a sea view room on the second floor and it was so nice to sleep and hear the waves lapping the shore. Lots of photos and history in the bar. Bottled water and biscuits in room a nice touch.

Cons:

Not necessarily a negative but it is a tour group hotel

Pros:

I’ve stayed here many times and I just love it . One of the things that I particularly like is that the same team has been working there for years from housekeeping and the reception team to bar staff to waiters . To me this means it’s a good business to work for and it shows in the service the team provides

The air in the pipes ticked all night.

The shower was the worst I've ever encountered, 3 small lines of water from a wall mounted shower. This needs replacing asap. I'm sure you must've had complaints about it before.

Nice hotel but needs to move with the times
Pros:

Position on the sea front. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms cleaned every day - a breath of fresh air after some hotels we have stayed in Breakfast good. Evening meal (if you have it) very good.

Cons:

Staff at breakfast had to be reminded to take our order and forgot some of our order. Service not so good when a coach party was in although there were a lot of staff. They had a sheet and blanket on the short king bed!. Very old fashioned! Where is the continental quilt! Pillows uncomfortable. Room dated and needed a makeover. Expensive for what it is.

Value , Location and friendly staff.
Pros:

Good location , good room , well appointed, spotlessly clean. The receptionist was amazingly welcoming. Breakfast was excellent and a good choice of marmalade and other preserves. Staff attentive.

Cons:

Parking was tight but was allowed to park in front of the hotel until early morning by reception.
