Beautiful place to stay and not too far from downtown.
Nothing!
Nice, upscale feel in a quiet location
$40 daily “resort” fee. This is a nice hotel, but far from resort status.
Location I. North west
Too expensive
Beautiful property Parking easy in and out. Centrally located to what I needed.
The staff was not the most courteous. The desk clerk was a bit sarcastic she did her job but as far as friendly no.
The doorman or the carhop plainly saw me struggling with luggage and that heavy door. Offered no assistance until I asked for it.
Both bartenders were friendly and attentive.
Spacious room with high ceiling, free parking, nice quiet area
Worn out old carpet in the room was unpleasant. Lighting in the bathroom is dared and dull.
The view
The restroom
Clean staff was super friendly
Everything was great!
Simo made our anniversary dinner at Laurel truly unforgettable. His service was gracious, attentive, and deeply thoughtful, setting the tone for an evening that felt both intimate and exceptional. The restaurant was beautiful, with stunning views and a romantic, secluded atmosphere that gave us the perfect setting to celebrate.
The cuisine was exquisite! We ordered the focaccia with chili butter, arancini, pesto pasta, and sea bass, and every dish was beautifully executed. The flavors were layered and refined, the textures were impeccable, and each course felt elegant and intentional ✨
What elevated the evening even further was Simo’s remarkable hospitality. He checked in with perfect attentiveness, accommodated our requests seamlessly, took photos for us, and surprised us with flowers and complimentary cake for our anniversary. His warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made the entire experience feel personal, polished, and memorable.
Laurel delivered a beautiful dining experience, and Simo made it extraordinary 🥹 Thank you, Simo!
Look up “hospitality” and Simo will show up. The service and the food was equally beyond. We will be back!!
I have to start with the host, Simo who took care of me that night. He was very kind, welcoming, and attentive at all times. The food was enjoyable; I had the Bolognese and the burrata appetizer. The dessert was also great and I truly recommend it: the pistachio and ricotta cake.
Will definitely be coming back during my next stay at the Viata!
They did not have my reservation.
The food was absolutely amazing as was the live music and vibe! Simo brought the energy and warmth and was amazing for us this evening! Definitely will be back for him :)
Simo was a wonderful waiter and was very knowledgeable on the menu items. We had a wonderful dining experience and the atmosphere was delightful.
I’ve been to this location countless times sadly this will be my last. It left a bitter taste in my mouth and even though it is cheaper than the city it’s not worth it in my opinion. The service was so bad I felt like most the workers (not all) were being held by gunpoint to work. It was painful asking for anything or being there. I had issues with my room and if they didn’t realize it, their staff was condescending and made me wait 20 min before getting me another room all the while telling me they were in their way. (I even asked them- what is your definition of on your way?) I was running late to pick up my son but obviously they had better things to do. Long story short, one rude employee after another. No thank you.
The hotel was excellent. The food in the restaurant was very good and the server was top notch! The free parking was also convenient. The room was clean and the view is beautiful.
Great location within the hills of Austin. Really enjoyed the view from the room. The restaurant was very nice and the breakfast options were very tasty. The check in process was seamless and the front desk staff were friendly.
The rooms are clean and comfortably, but they are not quite as updated as the pictures appear online [some stains on the carpets]. There are a few tricky non-disclosures, such as the breakfast restaurant charging $5 for coffee but not letting you know that you could bring the free complementary coffee that is being served a few feet away into the restaurant instead. Also we were offered "free parking" as a complimentary add-on, only to find out that every guest has the option for free parking in the garage. When we brought this up with the front desk after our car had already been valet parked [which we thought was included], we were just told sorry and charged the after hours fee anyways. This could have been handled much better.
