Hotel Fontabella

This was an amazing stay! Every time I come to Guatemala, I want to stay here. I have nothing bad to say, it was perfect!

Este lugar es muy conveniente, seguro, perfecto para viajes de trabajo, muchas opciones para comer, comprar, la zona es caminable.

Estupendo, cómoda, segura y conveniente. Solo molesta un poco el ruido de los locales nocturnos el dia sábado.

We love this hotel because of its staff, and the comfortable rooms they have. Location is perfect with lots to do and places to eat.

Hotel Fontabella is an amazing property. Centrally located and so many food options are available within the hotel property. The Staff is superb, Sofia and the rest of the staff took excellent care of us during our stay. We will be returning in 6 months and really look forward to staying with Hotel Fontabella.

Well appointed suites with exceptionally luxurious bed and bedding. Kitchen and living space is modern and comfortable. Very clean! Highly recommended.

Great staff and great apartment

This hotel was amazing and it smelled so good. Walking distance from the Oakland Mall, lots of onsite restaurants and walking distance from Cielto, a delicious upscale dinning experience. This is a must stay

The water pipe burst and what the property offer was potatoe chips - unacceptable

Don’t need to leave once you check in as everything you need is under one roof……shopping, dining, entertainment, spa, bookstore, cafes, etc. terrific!

Sophia at the front desk is the asset of this property. Had a not so pleasant experience checking out in the past with one other receptionist though. Room is very spacious and having a/c is a major plus as most places in Guatemala do not have a/c (other than major hotels in the city). The balcony and kitchenette in each room are definitely appreciated. Also, the mall is a couple of floors down via elevator. There’s a Starbucks and very good restos plus a Sophos bookstore (comprehensive bookstore is a bit rare in GC). Overall, a very good stay in this hotel which is also within a short driving distance to and from the airport.

Internet did not work. Size vs furniture are not adequate. Place feels empty and cold.

The accommodations were elegant, clean, and comfortable, offering a peaceful retreat right in the heart of Guatemala City. But what truly stood out was the personalized service. The team anticipated our needs, accommodated every request with grace, and made us feel like valued guests every step of the way.

Such poor customer service. And to be honest

This property is so beautiful. Very clean! I just wish they had a pool but there’s a mall with restaurants to very very convenient!!!! Stay at Fontabella. You won’t regret it!!!

I stayed here with my two pre-teen girls to visit a former exchange student who lives in the city. The price is really great for the spacious and clean accommodations. We were upgraded to a deluxe suite, which was very large and comfortable. Windows and doors are not well sealed for noise, so there is a lot of street noise in the evenings, but we fell asleep fine. Beds are comfortable and there is a lot of closet and cupboard space.
Front desk staff all speak fluent English and are very helpful to arrange transportation and give local recommendations. They arranged a car to the airport for us at 4am. The cost was a little high, but they also gave options for Uber and taxi. Since our flight was early in the morning I thought the arranged car would be the most reliable. The driver was there waiting for us when we came down to the lobby.
The plaza was very safe and nice with lots of really good dinning options. Few shop or restaurant staff speak English, so may be difficult for non-Spanish speaking guests. Also the shopping is a little overpriced and would recommend visiting one of the city's larger shopping plazas to do any shopping.
There is a small market across the street with staples for the kitchen and beautiful flower bouquets.
The only thing lacking at the hotel was a consistent supply of bottled water. Hotel policy is to supply one large jug per week, which is not enough for three people. We were able to get a second jug at a very reasonable price though.

Great place

El departamento es sumamente amplio y confortable.
Me molesto y me pareció fuera de lugar que una vez instalado en el lugar, me enviaron un mensaje a través de la aplicacion, que solamente decía que estaba prohibido el ingreso de armas.

The whole building is amazing. For check-in, stand in front of the Starbucks, there is an elevator near the escalators, with a waterfall/fountain behind it. Take this elevator to floor 3 to check-in. There are many other sets of elevators but only this elevator will allow check in. Full kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, loft style room was phenomenal. The shower had some mold growing in it from not being properly cleaned, but the rest of the space was very clean. The shower was properly hot and had really great water pressure. There is security at every entrance to the residents rooms, in addition to all the security staff within the Fontabella shopping center itself. Teco Coffee House, easily one of the best coffee shops in the world, he really knows what he is doing, is across the street to the south. So many breakfast and dinner options right in the building. Oakland Place (mall) and numerous other food options are a short walk away. I will stay here again.
