Great location-need to demo and build a new hotel

The location!

Cons:

Very run down old building, very uncomfortable beds and I king bed option. Our group had rooms across the hall and one was nicer (ours) and the other was super outdated.

Pros:

This hotel is under renovation, and will be exceptional once done. The location is an island with nice water views. There is a restaurant, Cedars, that has exceptional seafood. Also a very nice brewery and restaurant is across the street. Because this is all that is on the island, the environment is great. Looking forward to staying when the renovation is complete.

Amazing getaway
Pros:

Cons:

For a basic room and a fair price the room was ok. Nothing spectacular about it. Extra cost for water view was not worth it though

Usually a good hotel option, but a room on the first floor next to the pool does not score well.
Pros:

Great location. Great view of the Columbia River.

Cons:

Reserved a river view room. Only first floor was available. The swimming pool was 5 feet from my room window. I’m grateful the pool was not yet open for the season, or the noise from the pool would keep me awake.
I showed at 8:30am for breakfast. The service was to be open through 9am. There was no coffee and eggs available for me and several other guests. The employee told us that the boss said she could not prepare extra food to get us through to 9am.
