Awesome staff and location
Water pressure a little low
Beautiful hotel. Very clean and well maintained. Very friendly and helpful reception at check-in. Comfortable room and beds/linens.
Nice restaurant with good service.
Staff in the morning were involved with each other and never acknowledged us until we stood in front of them several minutes.
Would love to have had fresh coffee at 7:00; had to go to coffee shop nearby.
Absolutely love to stay at Hotel Diamond. As always my experience was amazing. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. And the rooms are beautiful. If you’re going to Chico definitely need to stay at Hotel Diamond.
Location was great. Love old hotels.
Nothing.
My husband and I have enjoyed many wonderful stays at the Hotel Diamond! The Hotel Diamond is a gem! The staff is very professional, accommodating, friendly and helpful. The rooms are well-appointed, comfortable and very clean! I love the high-end products that are provided! The soaps and lotions, robes and linens are wonderfully luxurious! The beds are extraordinarily comfortable! The overall feel of the hotel is very welcoming and inviting. The bar is awesome, it has a great ambiance! We enjoy the restaurant as well. We always have a fabulous stay at the Hotel Diamond! We love the location of the Hotel Diamond, it is in the heart of the town, and it is extremely walk-able to restaurants, parks and all that Chico has to offer! The Hotel Diamond stands out as being one of the greatest treasures of the town!
I've travelled on business to Chico for 3 years and Hotel Diamond is a premier class hotel. Well located and consistently excellent service in all areas. Rooms are always clean and food and beverage service are top notch as well as hotel staff. Highly recommend.
I’ve stayed at Hotel Diamond more than 10 times, and it’s the only place I stay whenever I’m in Chico. It truly feels like a home away from home.
The hotel has so much charm, the rooms are always comfortable, and the location couldn’t be better. What keeps me coming back, though, is the incredible staff. They are consistently warm, welcoming, and go out of their way to make every stay special.
After so many visits, I can honestly say the quality and service have remained exceptional. It’s rare to find a hotel that’s this consistent.
If you’re looking for the best place to stay in Chico, I can’t recommend Hotel Diamond highly enough. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
Location
We did not have a great experience. The hotel has charm and the room was nice. However, my husband and I were both unable to sleep for hours due to noise coming through the walls. I initially thought it was a TV upstairs. I tried ringing the front desk. Nobody picked up. I tried twice. Then around midnight, after hours of this noise, I went to the front desk clerk and explained the problem. He tried calling the room above us but nobody answered. I asked for a room change. He said he could not authorize this. He did nothing to actually try to identify the source of the noise (which ended up being the people next door to us talking loudly into the night). A couple of hours later he finally agreed to to allow us to move, but made us pack up all of our things in the middle of the night, which was ridiculous. The manner in which this situation was handled was not good and it ruined our stay.
Perfect historical hotel in the heart of Chico. Clean, great staff, and awesome rooms. It is a must stay place if you go to Chico
It was perfect -- no complaints
Everything! Hotel diamond is an historic building that has been renovated. I believe it was built in the early 1900s but it has been completely upgraded and renovated in the classic style of that period. It’s very beautiful! They have a lovely restaurant attached and as a hotel guest, you get a very generous “coupon” to eat dinner at the restaurant. The staff are very pleasant and exceptionally helpful. They really want your stay to be special!
I liked everything about this hotel!
Even though there were few guests on Monday July 6, we were assigned room 208 with an ugly view!!! The room was very small, but well appointed. The shower was quite nice, however the bathroom door needs attention, paint and molding chipped, and the tile floor was clean but discolored, like it needs more than just a mopping. The staff was friendly, however, the breakfast was the highlight of our stay---the scramble was very good, and the potatoes were yummy!! Compared to the other two times we stayed at Hotel Diamond, this is below par.
Staff were amazing
no issues
For $200 a night we were very disappointed. Hotel diamond appears very nice on the outside but on the inside it feels like a best western. I don’t think it has been redone since it opened about 20 years ago. The finishes felt cheap, dated and rundown. When we first got to our room, the hot water didn’t work so we had to request to change rooms. For Chico‘s downtown boutique Hotel I expect a lot more. And I won’t return or recommend it to a friend until they spend the time and money making this the unique experience people hope for when booking.
Please note this review is for the hotel only. The restaurant and bar adjacent to hotel diamond is fantastic and we highly recommend!
