Een fijn hotel in centrum van Isla de Flores!
Pros:

Een prettig hotel in het centrum van Isla de Flores. De kamers zijn niet heel sfeervol ingericht, maar wel van alle gemakken voorzien en erg schoon. De badkamer is praktisch ingericht met een fijne warme douche. Er is een restaurant, een bar en koffiebar aan verbonden. Op het dakterras een klein zwembad en een bar met fraai uitzicht op de zonsondergang.

What we liked the most was the young woman at the reception. She was sincerely wonderful. A definite asset to your hotel

It's just overpriced for what you get.
But many places in Guatemala are. Maybe you could at least offer hot coffee in the morning.

A beautiful retreat in Isla de Flores
Pros:

Love the decoration of the place, it feels really welcoming. Also its in a great location on the island so it was close to everything in the island and extra points for the restaurant, bakery and bar.

Cons:

The customer service was not great, they where doing the bare minimun. This is not normal in Guatemala that is a proud community of make guests feel welcomed. The bathroom was not really well cleaned.

Täuschung durch Falsche Fotos und Zimmerinfos

Achtung! Falsche Fotos und Zimmerinfos!Gefallen hat uns bunte Haus und die Lage. Die Dachterrasse war ganz OK. Es gibt eine sinnlose Mikrowelle in der Suite auf dem Fussboden, obwohl die Mitnahme von Speisen ins Hotel unter Strafe verboten ist…

Täuschung durch falsche Fotos und Zimmerinfos!
Wir haben eine Suite mit Balkon gebucht für über 180 US Dollar die Nacht (Im Angebot! Ohne Frühstück ) Bekommen haben wir ein dunkles Zimmer mit nur einem kleinen Fenster ohne Balkon! Der Blick geht auf ein verrostetes Blechdach. Auf unsere Beschwerde, dass wir gern die Suite mit Balkon hätten hieß es, dass die belegt sei. Ich zeigte das Foto vom gebuchten Zimmer mit Bild vom Balkon und die Zimmerbeschreibung auf Booking.com mit Balkon auf meinem Buchungsbeleg. Darauf hieß es wörtlich: Das Foto sei ja nur ein Beispiel! Von der Beschreibung wisse man nichts. Es ist nichts anderes frei. Erst hieß es, die andere Suite sei erst morgen frei. Als ich dann umziehen wollte, hieß es plötzlich- erst übermorgen. Dazu kommt, dass das kleine Fenster nicht etwa zu einer Sehenswürdigkeit oder gar auf den See zeigt, sondern auf ein riesiges verrostetes Blechdach und daneben auf ein Basketballfeld mit Flutlicht und lautstarken allabendlichen Geschreie. Ich möchte das Hotel nicht schlechter machen als es ist, aber die wissentliche Angabe falscher Fakten und Fotos empfinde ich als Täuschung. Der dann folgende Umgang mit der Beschwerde ist traurig bis unverschämt. Es gab weder das Bemühen um eine Lösung, kein Verständnis für die Beschwerde noch das Angebot einer Entschädigung wie zb 2 Cocktails oder das Frühstück aufs Haus o.ä. Stattdessen wurde sofort beim Checkin vorab kassiert, bevor man uns ins Zimmer geführt hat. Dazu gab es eine lange Liste (1DIN A4-Seit ) mit Verhaltensregeln und angedrohten finanziellen Strafen, die man zu unterschreiben hatte! Zu erwähnen sei noch, dass kaum ein Zimmer überhaupt einen ansprechenden Blick zu haben scheint und alle Balkone sich auf ein bodentiefes Fenster mit 40cm Sims beschränken. Leider hatten wir nichtmal das. Die eigentlich nette Dachterrasse verfügt immerhin über eingeschränkten Seeblick aus 3. Reihe. Wird allerdings tagsüber für die Gäste gesperrt!
