Not what we had expected.
Pros:

The room was clean and comfortable. Hotel situated in the centre of town and close to the river for enjoyable walking. All level, no hills to climb! "Hotel" easy to locate using our GPS.

Cons:

Total confusion. On arrival the first difficulty is parking. Once this has been overcome, upon entering the property we were advised the reception is down the road in another building. Walked to the other building which is a cafe where breakfast is taken and where the registration desk is located. Then back to the car, collected our luggage and deposited it in our room. Then back to the car again to park it in a dedicated car park, I would question the 150 yards quoted in the hotel preview! No restaurant in the hotel so it was a wander around the town to find somewhere to eat - it was difficult so say the least. Eventually, we found an excellent restaurant by the river. Fortunately, the weather was good but the walking to and from the hotel - breakfast cafe- car park would have been thoroughly miserable had it been raining.

Very nice hotel
Pros:

Good breakfast, extremely dog friendly. Comfortable room

Cons:

Had to drop the bags off and park the car round the corner. Reception gave us a card to put in the windscreen and told us we had 3 minutes to unload. 2 people. 2 cases, 2 rucksack, a dog. Dog bed. Food. Blankets etc..... It was a challenge!!!
