The Lucerne Inn

Pros: Big room. Thick towels. Nice breakfast. Beautiful grounds and view. Cons: The building is pretty old. The floors squeak very loudly and there is quite a bit of traffic noise, but we had the fan running on the air conditioner to drown it out and slept well.

Simple check in. Clean and comfortable.

A very pleasant stay with a very helpful, congenial staff.

The hotel had a great view of the sunset. The breakfasty was minimal and the dinning room could have used some cleaning.

We only stayed on night and arrived late but we enjoyed our time at the inn. The bed was super comfortable!

Gorgeous old inn set up nicely by the owners and staff. Bummed we were there on a Monday when the restaurant was closed. Relaxing, comfortable and a gorgeous sunset with great views of the first day light.

Rustic spot with wonderful staff

We got there late, but the staff was super sweet. They did charge extra for having a 5th person even though i booked one room for 5 people on expedia. Also, their was no hot water. They said it was being worked on at 11:30pm when we arrived, but it was not fixed the next mornimg before we left (around 10am). I would have appreciated it if they would have at least waived the additional charge for the 5th person or at least a verbal appology for the inconvenience, but they did not. However the property is unique and the back yard views are gorgeous. So inspite of no hot water and the unexpected additional charge, it was a good place to stay between the airport and Bar Harbor.

This place was top notch in every way! It was clean, peaceful, great staff, and really good food in the restaurant as well. I would stay here again with no hesitation!

Older facility with lots of character, clean and staff was super friendly. Setting is great in the rolling hills.

Beautiful location, beautiful time of year, excellent room, wonderful staff, would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Can not wait to make a return visit

The property was what we needed. It is a nice older hotel. Most of the issues are stated upfront like no elevator. The downsides are the lighting at the street is not very good and if you are not familiar with the area it challenging turning in at night. The hotel does not staff someone at the breakfast to add dishes etc. They are very attentive if you go to the desk and ask for help.

Clean room! Quiet! Breakfast excellent. Comfortable bed. Had a electric fireplace was awesome.

Quaint place. Trash behind the furniture and under the bed. Liked the vintage look and feel. Room in the basement was kind of wierd.

Was a nice stay, unique room amenities (heated towel rack), but no mini-fridge. Good view, and easy parking. Room was clean and comfortable.
