BP Samila Beach Hotel & Resort

It’s a huge complex opened in 1989…and it seems like it has never really been renovated and/or upgraded. In fact the hall where breakfast was served (very very underwhelming btw) had the aura of 1970’s Soviet Union.
On the plus side… the location is fantastic and we felt everything was at least kept clean.

Excellent location. Got the nice view room without asking. Quiet and beautiful iconic view of Songkhla beach. Love to return!

Great location by the beach. Large breakfast buffet included. Large clean room with en suite shower and bath. Pleasant, helpful staff.

Hotel is a little run down but had a very pleasant stay and will certainly stay here again.

Ein in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel. Direkten Zugang zum öffelichen Strand. Große Zimmer. Preis- Leistungs-verhältnis ist in Ordnung. Zimmer zum Teil renoviert - aber nichts für gehobene Ansprüche. Aus dem Haus könnte man wieder was machen.

Khun Noon (housekeeping) was helpful and very friendly, we will be back for sure^-^

The staff is always so helpful. They arranged rooms and transport for us, and they rescued a forgotten cell phone and sent it to the airport to meet us before our departure. Amazing care and service!

Super friendly staff, Samila Beach Hotel number 1 choice. Close to the beautiful and clean beach. The rooms are very nice and modern, I had a tube and shower (sea view). It's always clean and the lobby is impressively large. The breakfast buffet is perfect with a view to the sea. Just stay away from the monkeys on the beach trees. By the way 7/11 just 2 min away and 5 min to nice beach restaurants with delicious food.

Room is clean but not carpeted.
Old sofa at hotel lobby.
Swimming pool is not well maintain - water not clean and the floor surrounding the edge of the pool is cover with sharp minor stone.
No deck chair, table and place for beach towel at the pool.
Advice to the hotel management ~ keep good maintenance coz this is an excellent location (don't waste it)

staff cashiers at front useless and rude. no sense of service. bell boys were the only helpful and service minded staff in the hotel. poor breakfast and kitchen looked dirty !!!
Wi-Fi a joke and reception just smile and give you a form to fill in
never again .. very poor hotel and 2 star max. expedia need to seriously review this hotel

Hotel rooms clean but getting run down as the hotel is old and as usual maintenance is minimal at 3 star hotels in Thailand

This is an old hotel and the rooms could do with a face lift. Location to the beach is excellent and the pool is ok but also could do with some servicing.

Restaurant was being renovated so ate out side at local places close to the hotel and on the beach.

Breakfast was ok, but no pork or bacon. Seems Islam has influence all the hotels in southern Thailand.
The Internet connection was terrible and they need to change their service provider.
You can get TukTuk or motorbike transport to town centre which is 5 mins away.
Overall the hotel is overpriced for what is provided, but was a pleasant stay

Great location. Terrible wifi. Rooms are old and the hotel needs renovation. Staff are tops.

Overnight stay for work. I had a deluxe room facing the ocean which was really nice. the room was clean, tidy and spacious. the bathroom was also clean, tidy and well looked after.
relaxed on the balcony after a long day of travel, was not noisy up on the 5th floor. Breakfast downstairs was good with a mix of asian and western foods.
Staff were friendly and helpful, no issues.

Hotel is a nice place to stay. It's an older hotel, but a nice place to stay. Not to much around the hotel , but a short tuk tuk ride will get you there

Not an enjoyable stay and will never stay there again. The positive is the location is close to the beach. Unfortunately the negatives far outweighed the positive. We had problems with the shower drain and had to move rooms the first night, the wifi never worked in our room, the air conditioning did not cool down the room to a comfortable level even though set on the coldest setting, the porch overlooking the sea didn't have any chairs to sit and enjoy the setting, the breakfast buffet was lousy (when my daughter does not like the fried rice you know it's bad) but maybe most people like lukewarm, stale food, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, the exercise room was in a complete state of disrepair and unusable, the pool was not cleaned one time during our week long stay and had just a handful of lousy, plastic chairs to sit around the pool, and at checkout the manager told us we needed to pay for items from the mini bar we never used as we took everything out when we first entered the room and put everything back when we left. This hotel could be a great hotel, especially because of its location, but under the current management/ownership it will continue to deteriorate into a worse state than it already is.
