We had a great experience at the Fairfield In. -Utica
Pros:

It’s a great halfway point between Ohio and Massachusetts for visiting family. Clean rooms, convenient location, and friendly staff are important. We also enjoy eating at Delmonico’s.

Our room was dirty. Found dirty socks in the middle of our floor, a wrapper in the shower and the next morning I found a spider in my shoe. This all leads to the fact that the room wasn’t cleaned

The manager of the hotel is very professional and helpful. I overheard her dealing with a difficult situation on the phone and was impressed by her response. Everyone else was friendly and helpful, as well.

Great stay!
Pros:

Excellent location for our visit in Utica. The room was spacious, very clean and quiet. Beds were ver comfortable. The breakfast was decent - nothing special.

Cons:

This has really nothing to do with the property, per se, but we were there during the holidays and the restaurant across the street blasted holiday music each night until 10:30ish. Not a big deal but a bit annoying when trying to get to sleep.

VERY LOUD!!
Pros:

Very loud hotel!
Very loud TV sounds from next door came right thru thin walls.; Many freight trains, each of which needed to announce its presence; and apparently an overnight crotch-rocket motorcycle race was scheduled.
Otherwise clean, however sleep is the main function of a hotel and the lack of sound control made this a never again spot.
