An Oasis playing Oasis, this is a beautiful expansive resort on the grounds of a vinyard, grapes for La Crema. My friend and I came just for the day, through resort pass. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the spa, the water was crystal clear and had no chlorine taste. My day consisted of running along the vinyard trail, and joining my friend who was already lounging by the pool. (Getting their in the morning ensures a nice spot.) There was a hot indoor pool allongside a sitting room with singing bowls to try out, tea, healthy nut snacks. Inside they had lockers, showers and a steam room. Then they had all sorts of spa services that you could book in advance -- a bit pricey, but this is sonoma after all. There's also a jacuzzi out by the pool and a bar where you can order lunch/snacks, with a nice bartender. The only detraction frankly was the very curt manager, who marched around tending to this and that like turning some 80s music up out of nowhere with everyone looking around like is this a spa? Seemed very out of brand. Also, I started to pull the umbrella over my chair up and she came rushing over saying "You'll hurt yourself," just ask me to to it. So then, I asked her if it was possible to turn down the music and she said yes, you can ask the bartender and he can tell me, I laughed (to myself) and said, "okay, then may I ask you that question? " She said, "no, that many clients asked for this music." (Right) Anyway, icey responses, having a bad day maybe but not the day to come to work. Later the music got lifted even more! Then she came over at 4:30 to tell us to hurry off to the showers as the spa closed at 5, even though we were welcome to stay until 8, which she did not tell us. Definitely all this could have been alleviated by giving the client's information before they get in the door.
We stayed for 3 night in early June. We had a great stay. The woman at front desk was very helpful. She said they had a room available when we arrived, but if we waited a short time, we could get a nicer room. Room was spacious and clan with comfortable king mattress and great view of the vineyard from our balcony.
One day there was a wine tasting in the lobby of the hotel. They also have a relationship with 3 or 4 wineries and we took advantage of that. The grounds are beautiful and the pool area was very relaxing and very nice. Many guest took advantage of it. Would definitely stay again if heading back to the area. Also, it’s a short ride to Healdsburg and right at the Russian River Valley.
This is a gem of a resort. The size is perfect and I don’t have anything bad to say about my 6 night stay. I highly recommend Vinarosa!
Beautiful setting and absolutely lovely room. Quiet and serene. I slept like a rock. It’s super pet friendly and it was so wonderful and convenient to be able to stroll out the back door of our suite to access the vineyards for a relaxing walk with our dog. Service is kind and attentive. The front staff tries their utmost to deliver. I can be cranky in the morning without enough coffee and both Camren and Andrea were so patient to deal with me. They always left me feeling well attended to. Altogether a lovely stay!! We will remember it as our honeymoon stay after wedding on June 10th. We hope to return someday for an anniversary celebration.
I strongly recommend a stay at this resort, it is beautiful and incredibly well maintained and managed!!! The onsite restaurant, John Ash, is an experience well worth it!
The maid took my light card from the room. The bed was not comfortable, had a mound in the middle.
Air did not work one afternoon, I opened the window, cool during the evening & night. I enjoyed the bottle of wine, thank you!
The grounds are very pretty, surrounded with vineyards, paths and beautiful plants and flowers.
The pool was not as clean as previous times. Several Bird droppings were around the edges of the pool and could of been cleaned prior to pool opening .
Also I wish the pool was adult only as a lot of babies in diapers were allowed to go it , and that’s just never very clean, it changes the vibe of the resort. The property should consider adding a kids pool somewhere and keep the spa pool adult only .
Great staff, enjoyed the facilities and vineyard. Nice room and was great for our dogs too. Would definitely stay here again.
Menu at restaurant did not align with my tastes nor for my wife. Breakfast coffee was great but the pasty was microwaved reheated, yuck ... get a toast oven.
The grounds, the location and the people working there were all that made my stay awesome. The room was big with everything I needed, water and soda included plus a half bottle of chardonnay, overall the resort met my expectations.
If you're thinking of booking a stay in Sonoma - book this place now. This stunning property was absolutely beautiful. Between the morning vineyard walk right outside our room terrace to the free wine tasting in the "secret" game room in the reception - this property exceeded my expectations. The staff is friendly, genuine, hospitable and kind. Special shout out to Andrea who tracked down my jacket that I'd left in the room after check-out and mailed said jacket to me at home. When I received the jacket in the mail, I was impressed to find it careful folded with a lovely note. Thank you again Andrea! I would stay here again in a heartbeat - and will definitely need to come back with friends.
Vinarosa was an absolutely beautiful property! Edgar at the front desk was so incredibly welcoming and helpful to us to help us finalize our itinerary of activities we were interested in for our stay. The room was massive and well curated - a good mix of vintage charm with modern updates. We got a corner unit on the bottom floor of the Pinot Noir house with a fireplace and soaking tub. It had views of both the beautiful courtyard and the vineyards in the distance. The property is so well maintained. There are so many places to sit by fires or within the garden while enjoying your drink. We enjoyed going for strolls with our coffee/tea in the morning. John Ash was a beautiful restaurant adjacent to the vineyards. We spent time in the hot tub and lounging by the pool - all very clean. Plenty of parking available. The vineyards were open on Saturday (it's spraying season so walking around the vineyard is not a daily option). It's only 1 mile loop so takes about 20 minutes. You can bring a glass of wine and enjoy the views. It's located right off the highway so very easy to get to and that means you can access a lot quickly. We were only there 3 nights and spent time golfing twice (Bodega has sweeping views of the ocean on every hole and Northwood is literally amongst the redwood trees), hiking the Armstrong redwood forest, hiked Shiloh Regional Park for stunning views over the vineyards, wine tastings at nearby vineyards, pool time, and dinner at John Ash. We loved how peaceful and beautiful the property was. My only recommendation would be more breakfast options on property - pastries are available at the Parlor and I think John Ash was also open, but we were looking for something healthy and quick before golf. We ended up stopping in town on the way which was also fun. Can't wait to return one day!
The rooms have all been very recently updated and were quite spacious and had a small balcony and fireplace. The grounds are beautiful with great landscaping and adjacent to large Vineyards, which we enjoyed walking in each morning.
everthing this place it s amazing
An absolute gem tucked away in Santa Rosa wine country. Excellent service, spacious rooms, beautifully grounds, plentiful amenities... what more could anyone ask for? Highly recommend this resort.
