Pros:

Quiet location 10 minutes walk to the temple. Big parking area. The charme of old india as the rooms are basic. We did like it !! Helpful and friendly.

Pros:

It's a very likeable little hotel with rooms on 2 floors opening up to a covered shared balcony with table, chairs and fans. The wooden room doors give a nice old time feel. It's set back from the road in a sandy garden full of fruit trees.There is also a rooftop terrace with a few chairs. I had a small single room and it was big enough. It is the place where most foreigners seem to stay. Don't know why it has fallen out of the Lonely planet book. Just down the road is a bus stop where you can get cheap local busses to Dhanushkodi. It will drop you just 800m short of the tip.

Cons:

I guess I was unlucky getting a room with a squat toilet, because they have rooms with western toilets as well. They cleaned my room on the spot when I arrived and the sheet were not changed from the previous guest. (I'm prepared for that though). The WiFi on the 2nd floor needs improvement. It was very poor.
