I booked this hotel specifically because I selected and paid extra for an ocean-view room through the booking platform. However, when I arrived, the room I received had no real ocean view.

When I raised this issue with the front desk, the hotel staff did not acknowledge that I had paid extra for an ocean-view option. Instead, they told me to contact the booking platform. This was very frustrating because the ocean-view upgrade was the main reason I chose this hotel and paid a higher price.

What made the situation even more disappointing was that, even from the part of the hotel closest to the ocean, the ocean was barely visible. In my view, the way this property presents or sells “ocean view” rooms is misleading.

The hotel’s only practical response was to shift responsibility to the booking platform. By the time I checked in, it was not realistic for me to leave and find another hotel. I felt misled by the room description and unsupported by the hotel’s handling of the issue.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone booking for an ocean view.

Easy, accessible and good price
Pros:

Small motel - great location good for a quick stop/short duration. Staff very friendly which is always a plus.

Cons:

Shower pressure - everything else was expected being a motel style.

L'emplacement est top. Près du Pear, des cafés, du Yoga, des boutiques (Apple ...).
Hôtel, chambre, bar très agréable.
Personnel très sympathique.

Cons:

La plage de Santa Monica pourrait être plus propre : je suis revenue deux fois avec du mazout et ma serviette est cramée ! L'hôtel donne des lingettes pour se nettoyer heureusement. La musique le matin au petit déjeuner est trop forte pour moi pour une ambiance agréable. Les autres convives ne semblaient pas gênés, donc ...
Un peu déçu : La piscine se situe près des poubelles et à proximité de la voie rapide, et la propreté n'était pas au RDV.
