The manager was very pleasant and helpful at check in. I was able to park my car just below my 2nd floor room.
Pros:

Location Location Location Two minute walk to the Santa Monica pier and beach.
The room decor followed a beach theme in a subtle but effective way. Refrigerator, safe, large screen TV, coffee maker and bathing essentials. Very large shower with a beautiful tile floor matching the rest of the bathroom. A few places needed a small bit of paint but not a real cosmetic issue.

Cons:

The hotel is located on Ocean Avenue. The traffic is constant and close. The noise made it difficult to fall asleep.

One night was one night too many. Not my best choice

i can only say that the location was really good

Cons:

It felt like we had gone back in time, the decor, bed, facilities were basic, dated, tired and very poor. I didn't realize that you could still get accommodation like this
Not that it was the Motel's fault but there was major, noisy roadworks being carried out really close by so from early morning we were woken by noisy construction works

Cons:

Room was tiny for 5 people. Very loud-could hear street noise and also people walking above making it hard for kids to fall asleep. Large unhoused population at the park right behind the hotel.

The hotel was closed at the front desk, even though it was a last minute reservation. i fully expected to be able to check in late and spend the night but i was denied over a ring camera near the front door of the front office. this was not disclosed on booking and i fully paid for the night. i have yet to recieve a refund to this day.
