The hotel is perfectly placed for Driffield, right on the high street and an easy walk to the train station. The staff are great and very friendly, spot on full English breakfast. Although the hotel is a little dated it still has its charm and very clean.
Great location in the centre of the town. The room was spacious but dated. It was clean though. We didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment about that. We did visit the spa and had a lovely afternoon enjoying the facilities.
Generally the accommodation is functional.
The bathroom extractor fan noise from other rooms was intrusive. The bed was very comfortable and large.
The main building is 280 years old and I assume listed. It is quaint and interesting and understandably creeky.
Old world hotel with good old fashioned service.
.
Comfortable stay, good food and friendly staff.
It’s a step back in time when you walk into this hotel, although welcoming.
I was greeted warmly, checked in and shown to my room. The access to the room was not that nice, and I felt like I was heading to the kitchens.
The room itself, though clean, is in desperate need of an update (as is the whole hotel to be honest) with pink bedding, and a sofa covered with a blanket that I really did not want to sit on.
I paid quite a premium price for my room, which was not reflected in the quality of what I received.
When I book this hotel on the website it said electric charging point available however when I reached there . There No electric charging point.
I paid almost £12 for the breakfast. In the morning staff gave me menu for the drinks . £3.50 for latte and hot chocolate menu.
Food was not fresh . Croissants Was not fresh . I asked for fresh and she put in micro wave and warm up for me. It was so hard look life 10/12 days old.
Staff was rude. When I made complain manger gave me refund and asked me to leave before 11 am.
Not happpy at all . Do not go there
Proper Yorkshire ❤️
Room was hot no fan or air con, tv stations were basic
On arrival very friendly we was too early put we was able to park up. Central for shopping with good choice of shops socialising parking.
The hotel itself is fascinating. An old place with many interesting features. The people in charge are very nice. We didn't eat there but saw some of the food and it looked good.
The room we had overlooked the street which was quite noisy at night but got less noisy after midnight.
The room itself was very old fashioned and tired. Clean and functional but tired.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Our room was cool and smelt musty. The heating wouldn't turn on to heat up the room. We had a small soft double bed which I didn’t find comfortable but that may be a personal issue. I got up on Sunday morning and there was no hot water for a shower. We didn’t use the spa. Breakfast was ok but nothing special . There is some limited free parking which is good but the car park is tight. Some of the staff were helpful but we had to wait for check in for about 10 minutes as the staff were busy elsewhere.
The accommodation standard was poor especially as I paid for an executive double room. I won’t go back

Friendly staff and ideal location for centre of Driffield. Swimming pool with sauna and steam available during the day.
Chose this hotel, because of the pool and spa which turned out to be nothing like the pictures. The staff are friendly, but the natives are not, it reminded me of the dartboard scene in American werewolf.
Old Hotel, which has its charm, with creaky floorboards to keep you up at night as well as the paper, thin walls, put a jumper on for breakfast if you're going in the winter
It was like a cross between Fawlty Towers, the Adams Family and The Shining.
