Pros:

mooi oud hotel in de net buiten centrum van edinburg
enorm grote hoge kamers in oude stijl maar toch van alle gemakken voorzien
motor achter in de tuin kunnen parkeren
enorm goede keuken en ontbijt

A smart hotel
Pros:

The room was very good. I particularly liked the quality of fixtures, fittings and decor. An old building with a sympathetically modernised interior.
The location is also very good, being only a short bus ride or good walk to the city centre.

Cons:

The bar area is a bit cramped, accessed down a narrow staircase.

Lovely location with great access to all that we needed. The staff were all friendly and helpful!
Pros:

The location was brilliant for us and the breakfast was good. Our room only had a small window with a lovely view of the castle. All the staff were extremely friendly.

Cons:

Our room was warm so we had to run a fan whenever there even though it was cool outside. Also, the window (with view on castle) was extremely dirty and didn’t look like it had been washed in 6 months or more.

中心街からバスが多く走っており、目の前にはとても綺麗な公園があって大変美しい環境です。朝の散歩が楽しい。徒歩数分のところにスーパーもあるので便利！

Cons:

施設内に階段が多く、トランクを持ちながらの移動は少し大変かもしれません。

Lovely, Welcoming Stay with Excellent Reception Service
Pros:

I had a lovely stay at JA The Bruntsfield Hotel on Friday 26th June 2026. The hotel has a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere and is in a great location, close enough to enjoy Edinburgh while still feeling peaceful.

Boglarka Dombi on reception was very helpful, warm, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. I had my AD with me, and she handled everything in a kind and professional way, making the stay feel even more comfortable and stress-free.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well presented, including a dog bed for my AD. The overall experience was smooth and enjoyable from arrival to departure.

I would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, friendly, and well-located hotel in Edinburgh.

Reasonable room but expensive
Pros:

The hotel is in an excellent location and the staff were friendly. We were able to charge our electric car overnight free of charge.

Cons:

It wasn’t as clean as I would have expected, there was a layer of dust across one side of the table and there was some dirt and mould in the shower cubicle. Nothing worth complaining about but I would have expected better for the price of the room.
