Staff very friendly and helpful
Room too hot, setting heater lower made no difference
My room was very spacious and comfortable. I appreciated the complimentary items - they were a welcome touch. I found the hotel directory, which was emailed to me, very helpful. I was able to find out how to adjust the heating, Wi-Fi password, times for breakfast etc. There was information about Edinburgh in the room. As a solo female traveller I felt safe in the room because there was a chain on the door too which I used at night. I enjoyed the big bath too as I only have a shower at home and the bathrobe and slippers were a bonus. The staff, including the staff cleaning rooms, were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and I didn't have to wait long for it to be brought to me with a lovely pot of tea. Location is excellent and I had lots of fun looking at the lovely shops.
Not the fault of the hotel but I'm not used to city traffic and the Friday night was quite noisy from the road outside. I didn't sleep very well. However, on the Saturday night I slept much better.
I had to remove the feather pillows from the bed because I have asthma and feathers are a trigger. When I stay again, I will request no feather pillows in the room.
Location and convenience
Not as clean as it could be. Our room was beside a loud connecting door in the hall. No attention given to a warm welcome
Very nice hotel, very clean and lovely area. Staff were very polite. To be honest we were only there for one night to attend a funeral. Would love to come back under happier circumstances. Would love to stay again and explore the surroundings.
Everything was perfect
Wenig auswahl am buffet
Dreckige wäsche
Kein gästeservice
Mussten koffer selber schleppen
Keine klobürste
Schimmel im bad
Alles
We had stayed in the Bruntsfield Hotel some years previously and it looked tired but the place is looking good.
The amenities are good for the room and liked the free tunnocks tea cakes and large bottle of water
Unfortunately time constraints ment I did not have the breakfast but will go back later in the year.
Staff were really kind and friendly.
Nothing really
Some people might find the corridors confusing but I had no issues.
Perfect location to visit friends and family close by , not far from haymarket train station and very good bus link
Food was really nice, and the staff were friendly helpful efficient and welcoming . The rooms were clean comfortable spacious and homely .
Water pressure was a bit low in the shower and it was a little warm in the room in the mornings
Struttura, centrale, accogliente, bella e molto pulita
The character of the building.
Spacious, beautiful decor. Light and airy.
Location was great.
Breakfast was lovely.
Bar area had a good of ambience.
Would be good to be able to book a parking spot as it is first come first serve, but we managed to get one anyway, albeit chargeable.
Felt like this should be included within hotel price.
Clean, comfortable, modern and well maintained, great location.
Polite staff. Lovely breakfast. Competitive daily parking prices that felt secure. Comfortable bed. Good views. No noise from rear side of building. Great location to walk into centre.
Sink - duel taps, no warm water for washing hands, either boiling or freezing. No toilet brush in bathroom.
Fire escape door on second floor (next to our room) was used excessively at all times of the day and until late evening as it was a quicker alternative to the central elevator. Loud bang on door and stairs.
Perfectly situated for where we needed to be. Nice decorated and furnished very clean and helpful friendly stop.
We had a large room that was right at the front of the hotel on the road slightly noisy.
