Served our purpose. A bed for the night.
Pros:

It was by the sea, easy go find and to park

Cons:

I’ve visited this hotel a number of times over the years. It is now in desperate need of a makeover. This was a mid week visit and there were few staff on duty We were the only couple in the very large restaurant at 8.15 pm. It took a very long time for the two pizzas we ordered to arrive. They were home made apparently but overdosed with tomato puree. It would be better if the hotel served bar food mid week perhaps.

I should be given a refund.
Pros:

There was no hot water. I was offered a breakfast that I did not want and was not served at a time that I could have it - in compensation for not being able to wash when I arrived nor in the morning.

Cons:

I could have been told about this when I booked or before I arrived and allowed to make alternative arrangements

Aberavon Beach
Pros:

This hotel could not have been more ideally suited location wise for our requirements, both my work and catching up with friends. On the most beautiful beach to boot.
Friendly, attentive and helpful staff, clean, comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast.
Thoroughly recommend.

Another lovely stay.
Pros:

Lovely sea view from room.
Polite staff always.
Comfortable room.
Don't judge the hotel by the way it looks on the outside because once inside its lovely. Always stay here almost every other month when visiting family and never had a bad stay.

Cons:

Water pressure in shower not 100%

What an awesome experience
Pros:

What a wonderful time my family and I had at the hotel this weekend.

We booked in for afternoon tea and being a coeliac I was worried it was going to be terrible but it was so nice. The choice of sandwiches and cakes were brilliant and the service could not have been nicer. We stayed for the rugby match against Scotland and what a brilliant atmosphere, the bar person I think was called Sam and he was an absolute legend.

We stayed the night and the room was clean and tidy, the bathroom was clean and the beds were very comfortable, no complaints so far.

The breakfast was without doubt one of the best ive had in such a long time and I do stay in a lot of hotels. It was piping hot, full of choice and the sausages were gluten free, result. They even had a separate toaster for gluten free bread which you dont see very often.

As it was my mum in laws 75th birthday we were booked in for the Sunday dinner, there were 12 of us and not a single person had a complaint about the starter, main or dessert. `I do want to shout out to all the service staff, they were absolutely awesome and so hard working but always had a smile on their faces. The Manager was a lovely man, could not have made our stay any better.

We can wait to go back again. Thank you to all at the Aberavon Beach Hotel for making us so welcome and cared for.

Parking here will cost you £60 min. Beware!!
Pros:

Parking at this hotel is a complete rip off. Do not park here! I parked for a business meeting. Added my car reg to the tablet in reception but failed to say how long I was staying and got stung with a £60 fine. Phoned the hotel and they said they could do nothing about it. Very, very poor customer service. Manager told me the receptionist had too much to do to be checking whether I'd added my car details on both screens. I thought that was the job of a hotel receptionist, to serve customers! Obviously not. Really appalling attitude.

Not the prettiest...but looks can be deceptive!!
Pros:

One of our favourite Best Western Hotels..Situated right on Aberavon seafront. Which is known locally as Holywood.
Don't be fooled by the outward appearance...once you have parked in the free car park and entered the front doors. You are in fairly large and well run hotel. Large bar/lounge area. Lovely dining room.. lift to all floors.. well equipped and comfortable bedrooms. Many with sea views, and some also dog friendly.
The staff are all friendly, professional and helpful...wanting to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.
Can't recommend this hotel enough.
Perfect location for exploring South Wales..situated in Port Talbot directly opposite the tidal beach. Just a short walk across the green...with an amazing sandy beach when the tide is out.
Adjacent to the hotel is a Leisure centre...with a Cinema and restaurants beyond that.
Swansea is approx 15 miles away. With the Mumbles and the stunning Gower peninsula a further few miles away..
