Nous avons été super bien accueilli! L'ambiance y est decontractée et nous y sommes entourés de jungle. Cela etait apaisant. Je n'ai pas demandé mais je crois que la propriété a une autre gérance. Amplement de lits pour toute la famille, literie propre et tout ce dont nous avions besoin pour cuisiner. J'y reviendrais certainement! Merci pour je séjour!

Cabanes placée en hauteur dans un très beau jardin, des singes capucins et des colibris y sont visibles. Seulement toutes les plages environnantes sont payantes et très peu d'activités à faire aux alentours. C'est le secteur qu'on à le moins aimé de notre voyage au Costa Rica. Le personnel de cet établissement semble inexistant. On nous a donné les clefs de la chambre et on a jamais su à qui les rendre. On ne voyait personne. Comme une propriété à l'abandon. Pourtant un énorme potentiel. Proche de très bon restaurant, mais plutôt chers.

The little cabin was air conditioned, had a fully stocked outside kitchen and the pool was lovely. Parking was under roof.

El lugar está ajado y destartalado, no vale el precio de U$100 que pagamos por la cabaña con cocina y aire acondicionado. El baño estaba limpio, la cocina y el dormitorio también. Pero todo muy antiguo, la llave del lavamanos se desarmaba, la ducha es eléctrica y la cama con un colchón muy blando y usado. En la cocina ninguna puerta ni cajón cerraban y en alguna de las ventanas faltaban vidrios. El refrigerador y el aire acondicionado funcionaban muy bien. La piscina también estaba bien. La recepcionista muy bien, muy amable y atenta, si no es por ella nuestra evaluación seria peor, fue muy amable y nos dejó hacer un check out mas tarde. El wifi funcionaba bien.

We were looking for a rental near family. The grounds are nice, pool clean, sweet patio area, nice people. The room was comfortable and the AC worked well. There was a nice outdoor kitchen/refrigerator. It’s simple but served our needs just fine. However there was no hot water which for us was ok because it was so hot.

Wenn man sich entspannt zurück ziehen möchte und einfach Mal die Tage genießen möchte,dann ist man hier genau richtig! Einkaufen und Restaurant besuche sind auch fußläufig möglich. Das Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

El lugar es muy tranquilo un poco alejado del centro.

This property is still recovering from Covid closures. The restaurant and bar are not open but it is less than a 5 minute drive to some of the best restaurants in Ojochal. However, The room was nice, the bed comfortable, and the pool was delightful. Overall, the property needs a little TLC but it was fine for the couple of days we were there.

This place has seen better days. We stayed here 14 years ago, when Pierre and Renné took care of it and really loved it. The place has been poorly maintained. The owner didn't even bother to approach us, introduce himself or welcome us. He just walked passed us as if we didn't exist. The fridge and coffee maker were broken. The pool was filthy. The website said there was a restaurant. There is not. Tge internet didn't work in our room. We had a difficult time finding staff to give us little things like toilet paper and light bulbs. During our 5 days there, we noticed other cabins didn't have running water or a working fridge. The sweet resident dog is left in the office unattended overnight. To top it all off, we were double charged and could not get a reply from them to get our money back. We are now working with VISA to get this problem fixed. Do not come here!

Unlike many accommodations near the Pacific Ocean, Diquis De Sur has spacious grounds, which are beautifully landscaped, as well as fascinating flora and fauna. Both the owner and host were friendly and literally went the extra mile to meet our needs. We arrived with no car. So they drove us to local spots in the area.

The property still has a nice setting but the owner has let it degrade. Despite saying on your site that it offers a continental breakfast, it no longer does. The toilet seat was broken. The shower is slippery and dangerous with no hand rails. The cabin was not equipped with a stove or even a coffee maker and it took two days of asking to get one. The pool was dirty. The workers were on-existant.

The reviews speak for themselves. Hopefully the owner/ manager will try and give this place some love.
I suspect maybe covid or something has played a part in running this down and not enough (or not quickly enough) is being done to salvage…
Positives- the grounds and landscaping is beautiful. The insects are the loudest I’ve ever heard. The space is ample with parking, washing line. Outdoor BBQ (for room 6)
Negatives - owner didn’t get out of seat when we arrived despite there being bad news (1.5hr wait to sort out room- post check in time) and no cold drinks- the restaurant is shut but he just pointed out that there is a supermarket in town (I would expect any hotel to be able to provide a cold glass of water.)
The room was of a very poor standard (shame as we booked for a special occasion). Quite mouldy and dark, slats missing from the window vents so heat and AC hard to manage. The main kitchen light was out and fan (which I think I read in a review in 2021) so clearly not a priority.
Overall low standard to be self catering but no breakfast or bar on site. Car needed really as it would be a challenge to get food and drinks from supermarket up the gravel road for 2kms
Local restaurants great and location is as described. I hope they get this place back on its feet!

We got in a little after 6 pm and the email say check in till 7 but they said check in ends at 6

And there was no one to let us in or no where to find how to get someone
We were lucky someone staying there was outside and w a phone to call the reception

rm #6 . kitchen had no soap for dishes ( we were in the rm with a kitchen, but it was a terrible kitchen , could not see at nite due to low wattage bulb in the only light in the ceiling fan) refrig was dirty , no dish towels , dead bugs and dirt in cabinets , 2 burner cook top was loose and not secured to cabinet top and Greasy , no toiletries , just TP, in bath room and thats it.
no breakfast, no one there 24 hours. pool was dirty ,
booked for a week , and checked out after 4 nites and moved to a better place.
not sure where the 4.5 rating came from ( note alot of reviews were from several years ago)
you will not be satisfied , trust me it is not as good as the reviews show.
only decent thing we got was internet. PERIOD

Nice gardens and pool

Me pareció muy bien la limpieza y el orden... No me gustó que no tuvieran opciones de alimentación, al menos deberían tener desayuno

No incluyen desayuno, el restaurante estaba cerrado. Además el cuarto algo deteriorado, sin mantenimiento. No hay seguridad ni hay personal del hotel en la noche. No limpiaron el cuarto en 3 días que estuvimos ahí.
