Lovely stay friendly staff excellent food
Excellent staff and great food. Location brilliant.
Upstairs and rooms hot and stuffy
Lovely people excellent food room was nice view was excellent
Paid top money for best room no fridge so if you’re taking medication would be a problem and no air conditioning
Lovely location, great food and very friendly staff.
The restaurant and bar area was very nice and being next to the water had a nice ambiance to it
The restaurant service was slow but having to send my steak back twice because it was medium to well done and then rare when I asked for medium rare was poor for a hotel that charges the prices they do
The pub/bar area was nice, and cosy to relax with board games and TV for the football etc.
Very overpriced in general. Outdated facilities.
For the price, I really don't recommend staying here.
Most importantly, AIR CONDITIONING has to be installed here for summer stays. Until they have AC installed, please avoid if you can.
Our room was a non water view room and it had no ventilation whatsoever. The room trapped heat and no matter what we did to get rid of it, with the window fully open, fan on top of the chair and luggage and wet towels draped everywhere for cooling; it was still over 30 degrees in the room at all times, even when it was 20 degrees over night. When I asked for another fan, I was told there isn't one and that was the end of it.
The breakfast was fine and the service was great, but the plates and cups were dirty often.
A pint was more expensive than London, this one still baffles me.
The bathroom was probably less than one square metre, I barely fit in there so if you're over 6 foot, bear that in mind.
Breakfast were very good a nice selection and cooked well. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Bed were really comfortable, shower gel, shampoo etc were high end and beautiful. Bottled water provided each day as well as various tea, coffee and biscuits.
The room was exceptionally hot, a fan is provided but with the excessive temperatures of the last couple of days it was difficult to sleep. In fairness to the hotel it was made clear there was no air conditioning when booking…… that was my only slight downside.
I upgraded to a balcony room overlooking the water. I think this a must at this hotel
There was no iron ore n the room
Friendly helpful staff. Well equipped rooms. Great location and very comfortable.
Bar prices are to expensive

We weren’t sure at first but warmed to the warmth of the staff. The food was really nice. Loved watching the swans while having breakfast. An unexpected oasis.
The location is perfect . The view from the balcony was fab and every meal was delicious
Sometimes not enough staff at the bar or in the restaurant
Location right by the water.
