Lovely place
Pros:

We spent three nights at No42 and enjoyed our stay. The guesthouse is perfectly located for exploring Margate, and the parking in a nearby side street is a real bonus.

We were welcomed warmly from the moment we arrived. Our room, complete with a private terrace and sea views, was everything we hoped for: spacious, clean, and very comfortable.

The location also makes it easy to combine your stay with a day trip to London, as the train station is just a short walk away.

We visited in late April/early May, when Margate is still relatively quiet: a great time to explore at a relaxed pace. That said, one sunny Saturday gave us a glimpse of what's to come: the beach and the old town were buzzing with people, and it was already quite lively. We can only imagine how busy it gets in peak summer, so if you prefer a quieter experience, an off-season visit might be the way to go.

We didn't get around to trying the spa this time but that's a great excuse to come back! Highly recommended.

Really good stay in a really good hotel.
Pros:

Great location in Margate… stylish, comfortable small hotel that definitely delivers on luxury. Well curated bedrooms, again stylishly appointed with everything you need and more. Bathroom was super clean and had an amazing shower. All the staff we came in to contact with were professional and friendly.

Cons:

The only thing that might have been nice to experience would have been to have a sunset drink in the rooftop bar but unfortunately it wasn’t open for guests when we stayed. This seemed a little strange as the weather was glorious. I did venture up there one afternoon but the only guests up there were the pigeons !!

Average for the price point
Pros:

Well located, with comfortable fabrics in the rooms.

Cons:

I had never been asked to book a breakfast slot, it added unnecessary formality to the holiday. Further, asking for a small extension of 30 min on the checkout and not getting a kind reminder that there's a small grace period anyway added further unnecessary formality. Seemed a relaxed and luxurious place, it's just OK.
