Villa Salema

Необыкновенно чистая новая вилла. Очень красиво, тихо, уютно. Мы были вдвоём в эту ночь и весь комплекс был перед нами. Уединение, тишина, воздух. Конечно, океан в этом месте не для купания. Но бассейн на берегу, ухоженный газон, пальмы, Цветы и завтрак на улице в тени деревьев - это очень романтично.

Enjoyable stay

My daughter and I had an amazing stay at Villa Selema. The property is situated outside of the hustle and bustle of town on an expansive property overlooking the ocean. Made, the attendant, and his assistant made the stay particularly nice. He arranged all transportation/tours for us and made sure our every need was taken care of from teaching us about local customs to laundry to finding us a tailor for a special bed cover I had in mind. Made and his assistant also prepared our meals which were very delicious and authentic. We ate most meals at the Villa, as they were much better than most restaurants. There was a wide variety of choices from typical Western dishes to Balinese specialties. Dessert was limited, as they did not provide what was printed on the menu, only ice cream. It would be nice to see desserts offered using the products from the local chocolate makers located next door or something simple such as Gadar Gulung, a Balinese crepe filled with coconut and palm sugar. The Villa had two medium size pools, one in front with ocean views and another pool in a garden behind the main house. The rooms were tastefully decorated with comfortable beds and lovely views. We used Villa Selema to explore temples and water palaces in the region. I absolutely loved my stay and will definitely be back to Villa Selema on our next trip to Bali!

Firstly you will get lost trying to find this Villa, call them when you are about 20min away and they will send someone to meet you (do not follow google maps). Secondly you are away from everything, shops, food market, road… but this is the best attraction to this place… you are on your own!! This place is beautiful. When we were there we were the only couple. The house keeper asked us what we wanted, food, drinks ect.. Delivered it and then left. There is security guard that is around now and again so you still have someone if something goes wrong.
The pool is right by the sea and the view is spectacular, the sea comes right up to the garden, we had the most relaxing and most restful day of our holiday at Villa Salema. The only 2 negative things I could think of is
1) The sea by the villa is not swimmable (dirty) but just 20min (drive) away there is virgin beach which makes up for that.
2) out door toilets, taking a nature break during the day outside is okay, but I’m not sure how I would feel at 2am with bugs crawling how comfortable it would be (we were the only people there and the owners put us up at the main house so there was access to an indoor toilet (which we requested)
Overall a beautiful place and the most relaxing and rest full day of our holiday
