I’ve visited the Goodenough before and it’s a charming and peaceful hotel in a great location. The staff are kind and helpful especially Olu who helped me resolve my booking mistake with kindness and patience. Thank you!

Location and staff

Wife and I spent the week in London. The Goodenough Hotel was ideally placed to get around without much hassle. Conveniently located near both bus and train stations, we were able to access all of our venues with ease. Room was lovely. Easy to sleep. No loud noises. Would recommend.

Location

Nice room, clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to Russell Square, which is great for getting around. It’s a quiet place, and there’s a little square in the front that makes it feel calm and relaxed.

The reception staff were outstanding. Super friendly and helpful the whole time. Special thank you to Vlad for taking our luggage upstairs really appreciated that.

Overall, simple and very nice stay. Would come back.

Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, eenvoudig maar prima ontbijt, fijne douche. Ongeveer 10 minuten lopen naar metrostation. Omgeving is rustig.

I enjoyed being there. It is a quiet hotel in central location. The highlight is always the beautiful hall in which breakfast is served.

The rooms are really clean and comfortable and the staff are always welcoming and helpful. Centrally located so really easy to access from the train stations.

Great location and convenient for arriving later in the day into King's Cross.

There are a lot of stairs up to the rooms, but once you're up in your room it's worth it for what you get!

I had a lovely overnight stay in a single room; check in was speedy and friendly. The room was great, super comfortable bed, great shower (with good amenities), very quiet. I loved the little touches (room spray, dental kit etc.) which I think a lot of hotels overlook these days.

I'll definitely return when I'm back in London.

We were given a courtyard room and for 1 night it was perfectly adequate. No view from the windows, just a wall, but that did not matter for 1 night. Room was decorated perfectly and felt comfortable. Had plenty of amenities including iron and board, desk with USB connection, hairdryer, mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities. We slept well and the area was quiet and mostly residential/student accom, the hotel is a 5 minute walk from Great Ormond Street hospital and no more than 10 minutes to Russell Square Tube station.which also has a 24 hour Tesco outside. The reception staff couldnt have been more friendly.

A very special thank you very much to Olu for your professionalism, warm welcoming and efficience for issue solving (I forgot my wallet in the room locker + we were upgraded because of a problem of noise in the first room thanks again).

Nice location and area, staff was friendly, breakfast very good. Room size and appearance not presented appropriately on the booking.com, size was not sufficient for a comfortable stay really, but if you are not in need of much space and not spending much time in your room its fine. No elevator in the building so if you have lots of luggage it might be an issue.
