Wake up to the sound of monkeys, lions and elephants.
Pros:

Staying right in the middle of a zoo is a unique experience. We love animals and the sounds from the nearby zoo during the day was lovely. The breakfast was delicious. There are two cassowaries that live in a pen next to the dining area - we watched them intently every morning. Free family pass to the zoo!

Perfect chill paradise
Pros:

The bed was comfortable, the pool was magical, the food was tasty and the staff was friendly.

Cons:

It is a bit far from town. This suited me fine however I’m writing it down so other people know.

A small, quiet hotel with uncomfortable beds, limited facilities, bored kids, and overpriced restaurant drinks (cheaper

The only positives were the lovely zoo-side location, the accommodating staff, the clean rooms, and the exceptional breakfast.

Cons:

The bed and pillows were uncomfortably hard. The hotel has around 30 rooms but only 8 sunbeds, meaning we waited nearly 3 hours just to get one. We knew the location was quiet with not much to do, but even then, the facilities felt limited.

I’m not against children at all, but for such a small hotel with very little to keep them occupied, it’s not ideal for families. The kids were clearly bored, so I wouldn’t recommend bringing children for a longer stay.

Beer was $9 a bottle in the restaurant — surprisingly, it was cheaper in the room minibar, which didn’t make much sense.

If you’re planning to do nothing except visit the zoo and hope to secure a sunbed, this might suit you. We booked two nights but ended up leaving after one.
