The room was lovely and situated brilliantly for me as i I don't walk very well. The view from the patio was outstanding watching the golfers doing part of their round. Can't wait to go back again in the summer when we can sit outside the room on the huge patio. The only thing i can fault it on was the dated furniture which had a few scratches here and there and some stains. We have already booked again for another 2 visits. Also the food in the restaurant wasn't brilliant but maybe we just chose the wrong dishes as the lady next to us had fish and chips and that looked lovely.
Breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice bed comfortable lovely setting
.
Always very good
Clean room, good breakfast, helpful staff.
Plenty of parking. Very quiet setting, but this is what I wanted. Staff there if needed but not overbearing. I was on my own and felt comfortable throughout my stay. Cannot fault the cleanliness of the room even if a little out dated.
Good place to stay. Not in town but has restaurant and bar. Big room. Would definitely stay again
Clean rooms, lovely setting, fabulous friendly staff.
Resturant was lovely, had an evening meal and breakfast
we enjoyed our stay and found the staff very helpful. Lovely comfortable and clean rooms. parking great and a lovely breakfast
The hotel was a bit tired.
The hotel is a bit dated. The room was a good size but smelt badly of damp. The bathroom was the worst, the ceiling had mould on it which there had been an attempt to paint over but this doesn’t solve the problem of it needing to be treated. As it was downstairs I didn’t feel comfortable having the window open overnight. I did report this on checking out.
Tired
This is a very nice hotel and the staff are lovely and helpful. I think the bathrooms need upgrading. The hot tap is either off or scalding and you have to ask for a non slip bath mat if you want a shower. You don't know this until you are in your room or in the shower. Not helpful at all. The rooms (room 22) are a great size with plenty of room to put your things. Tea tray and kettle for drinks. We had a nice garden view so it was lovely and quiet. There was fan or aircon in the room so it was very hot for me. Nice for an overnight stay. Don't think I would manage a few days to be honest.
Nice quiet hotel , friendly staff, rooms a little dated but ok
Lovely stay as always
Booked the suite, bed was huge and very comfortable, we had our own patio to sit out which had fantastic views, breakfast was buffet and had more than we expected. Have already booked again
Just a sound place to stay. Staff are friendly:-)
We recently stayed at the Garstang Golf and Country Hotel and had the pleasure of booking the Wyre Suite – and what a treat it was! The room was spacious, well-appointed, and truly majestic, with its own private terrace offering beautiful views across the golf course. It was the perfect spot to unwind and take in the peaceful surroundings.
The bathroom was a real highlight – absolutely vast, with a luxurious walk-in shower featuring a rainfall head and an impressively large handcrafted stone bath that added a real touch of indulgence.
While the food menu leaned towards the generic side, the service was prompt, and every member of staff we encountered was friendly, helpful, and genuinely keen to make our stay comfortable.
Breakfast was self-serve, which worked perfectly for early tee times, offering a range of options that suited golfers and non-golfers alike.
Tip: Book directly with the hotel for the best rates – they’ll do their best to match prices, and it’s worth it for the personal service.
A great escape with serene views, excellent facilities, and a warm welcome – we'll definitely be back
We always enjoy our stay here. The bedrooms could do with refurbishment but it is clean, staff are very friendly.
The evening meal although limited was excellent special mention to the chef everything including breakfast was very good. Also special mention to the gardener the flower beds and grounds are beautifully kept.
Very reasonably priced hotel.
this is my 7-8th stay and the hotel was its normal comfortable self with friendly down to earth staffing and clean environment. The only down side was the room was hot and hard to cool down.
The single beds worked for us but were quite soft and because i am tall, short... might be worth having some "bed stretch" devices?
I was impressed by the bright and colourful ornamental planting - well done!
I once again offer my services as a golf course agronomist consultant if you are interested in optimising maintenance and quality of playing surfaces and performance testing?
