Excellent location! Valet parking. Comfy armchairs

Cons:

Our room was pretty small and cramped and it was so hot and humid, despite a mobile aircon unit and a Dyson fan. These were very noisy . Found it hard to sleep.

The restaurant closes really early at 9pm and the bar area is quite small.

Great location !
Pros:

Absolutely brilliant location in the centre and some tours pick up outside. Friendly staff. Good size room. You’re staying in a piece of York’s heritage.

Breakfasts were a bit mediocre

Very clean & reasonably modern

Cons:

The check in man was rude, unfriendly & very unwelcoming. It was all rules & regulations rather than any open welcome. Girl at the bar was ok but again no warmth to people or service

Perfect hotel in wonderful city
Pros:

Room was larger than expected, and with an upgrade it was even larger. The location is exceptional - right next to York Minster. Cafes, restaurants and shops in walking distance. Lovely hotel in a wonderful city

I cannot think of anything negative about this hotel

Great for access to the city centre, just a short walk away from shops, bars and restaurants
Pros:

Good check in- with valet parking which was very useful considering how close to the city centre (York Minster) the hotel is

Cons:

Room was Small, ben mattress could do with being replaced, it was slightly lumpy.

Breakfast was OK, better quality of food expected with price paid

Really enjoyed our stay at the Dean Court in the beautiful city of York
