we found breakfast arrangements a bit confusing and it took time to get used to
Air conditioned hotel which was a positive in the heatwave. Food available on site.

Pillows on the bed were a bit unforgiving and lumpy.
Property exterior and communal bar/restaurant were very nice. Outdoor seating area was lovely in the sunshine. Within 15 minute walk to the town centre so great location. The bathroom was spacious and the bath was nice and wide.
The staff are lovely particularly the reception staff.
Beds are uncomfortable and the walls are paper thin. Every time the person above moved we could hear it all, including their snoring at night.
Rooms have a musty smell. Could do with an update.

The location was very good, used buses one day. The Garden House was an added bonus, very comfortable and spacious, with private outdoor space. Kitchenette facilities were unexpected and most appreciated.
The bathroom being downstairs, especially when you need to use it during the night!
Friendly staff on arrival and throughout our stay, the hotel is lovely and the twin room we had was stylishly decorated and very comfortable especially having airconditioning during this heatwave. It is only about a 20 minute easy walk to the shops and restaurants and the theatre royal too.
Location terrific, close to city and within nice walking surroundings if you like a small walk after dinner. Lovely restaurant, bar area and outside section. A few people just came in on Sunday to have coffee and read a book or paper - that comfortable.
Rooms were generous with all usual amenities.
2nd time we have been and will definitely visit again.
