Convenient reservation and good breakfast.
Pros:

Good breakfast selection, very good coffee. Simple taxi arrangement. Courteous staff. Good restaurant menu.

Cons:

Need to add yogurt to the breakfast menu. Prepayment policy was inconvenient. No other hotel required prepayment during our nine day tour. As foreign tourists we would have preferred bottled water over RO water provided by the hotel.

Prima plek om te verblijven voor een bezoek aan Madurai.
Pros:

Wij hadden een kamer in het nieuwe gebouw en waren aangenaam verrast. De kamer zag er mooi en modern uit. Fijn bed. Ontbijt was ook prima, met voldoende keus. Bediening hielp ons met koffie en er werd speciaal een.omelet geregeld.

Cons:

Veel vieze vingers op balkondeuren, spiegels en douchewand.

A disappointing stay
Pros:

The location is good and the staff were helpful generally.

Cons:

We were disappointed with the Astoria hotel. The room was a bit scruffy and not particularly clean. The safe didn't work. There was quite a lot of noise from the rest of the hotel, including a really annoying door lock alarm which kept going off and was not quickly sorted by the hotel maintenance people.

Overall it is a good experience to stay
Pros:

The new Annex building is very good and has very good rooms with a small balcony. Breakfast, although not too varied, was good. Location is good as it is in the city but not in a congested area.

Cons:

The rooms at the old building are no good. Those rooms are small and the bathroom is too bad and stinking. Do not opt for the Delux rooms as they are in the old building.
