Kalya Hotel Yogyakarta

he hotel’s on-site restaurant serves a range of local and international dishes, with breakfast options that are particularly enjoyable. Facilities include a cozy pool area, a small fitness center, and meeting rooms, catering well to various needs.

I checked in earlier so my reserved room not available. I got Twin room that felt like a little bit dirty and narrow. If you want to stay here, choose the Double room one it is more spacious. There is no shampoo. Cleaning room service not available. The safe box not functioning properly. Other than that, the service is good and the breakfast is delicious. They helped me to claim my early and late check in/out receipt. Thank you

this is my 2nd visit at hotel Kalya Jogjakarta. Strategic location in the south close to Bantul district. I happened to pick up my daughter who went to school in Ma'had which is 5 km (15 minutes) from the hotel. There is no reason not to visit this hotel again. friendly staff, clean rooms, smooth hot water, and good food. I hope Kalya can continue to maintain services even though I think it is difficult to survive during a pandemic.

I stayed for 3 days here. this is my first experience staying at the Kalya hotel. the atmosphere of the hotel is quite cool and the interior of the rooms is minimalist but quite spacious. Hopefully will back in the next occasion.

1. when i decided to choose hotel, i considered the swimming pool first.. and fortunately, it was good enough.. not too wide but still OK.
2. There were not enough variation for the breakfast. the traditional one (nasi kuning) seemed too dry, there is no cereal and fresh milk too. the salad seem not too fresh.
3. ala carte order really took times for almost 45 minutes, while actually there were no other order in the restaurant then.
4. the room was clean but there were wrinkles on the bed sheet made me wonder that the sheet has been replaced or not.
5. the TV volume was broken. when i pushed the volume with 1 bar shown, it was still too loud.

over all thank you for the polite service from the staffs.. glad to be here again one day.

One plus point from this hotel is their service, very good. The room is big enough and clean. 24-hours front desk. U don't need to go out to buy souvenirs cuz u can buy it at hotel, this hotel offering souvenirs (Bakpia Patuk and Silver) with special price and some discount😍

Recomended for business or family. Near Masjid, minimarket, and culinar. Easy acces to trans jogja station. Budget friendly due to corporate rate discount. Friendly and nice staff. Clean bathroom. Green hotel with no plastic bottles.

Dirty bed sheets, have disguisting stain as picture below. Slow in response in changing the sheet. It was an abvious stain when we open the blanket and impossible for the cleaner not to see it.

Noda menjijikkan di sprei dan lambat dalam menggantinya. Noda yang sangat jelas terlihat jika selimut dibuka dan mustahil cleaner tidak melihatnya.

Recommended hotel in Yogyakarta

Stayed in Kalya Hotel with my family for two nights. A little bit dissappointed because we got no accompanied by any hotel crew after we checked in, and we went to the wrong building (they have two buildings). But so far we enjoyed our trip here. The room is great, the breakfast menu is great too! Should try this hotel.

Stayed there during a solo travelling Holiday in Jogjakarta. It was ex-Tune Hotel. The hotel offered Yogyakarta Javanese hospitality where people there are warm and nice. I was able to check in early without hussle.

Let's start with Pros and Cons...
Pros :
1. Staffs there were nice, hospitable and helpful.
2. Hotel was centrally located. Convenient stores were literally "a stone throw away", Trans-Jogja bus stop was right in front of hotel where going to Malioboro and Airport was using that stop. Dagadu T-shirt store was also very nearby for souvenir hunters to enjoy.
3. Standard amenities such as toiletries and facilities were there like swimming pool, conference rooms, etc.

Cons :
1. To my knowledge, the room was not moped, just swept daily. So, advisable to wear sandals provided in the room.
2. Maybe due to high occupancy, towels provided was kinda worn out in the first day before replaced with better ones in the next day.
3. SDB was not functioning, but rapidly replaced with a new one by maintenance staffs. However, on the third day the SDB malfunctioned again.
4. Door was thin, so when neighbouring rooms had their doors knocked or bells rang, the noise would penetrate to the room. Had bad experiences during the stay as many unruly tenants who knocked erratically in the early morning or even smoked in the hall way.
5. I didn't bring car, but could see that the car park capacity was always crazily overloaded every evening.

Looking at the rate vs what you would get, it's not bad choice to enjoy Yogyakarta.

The room was clean, they provided double tooth paste, single haircap, soap, tv works and the internet was fine. I was about to extend my 1 night booking with other 2 nights additonal but it didn't work out for these reasons below:

1. AC didn't work well. Back on 18 Apr I tried to call the FO staff and asking soooo damn many times to get it fixed (UNTIL 3 AM IN THE MORNING WHERE I COULDNT SLEEP AT ALL!)
It was a heater not a cooler at that night.

2. Back on 19 Apr in the morning someone came in to the room (after we made few calls -l AGAIN). He looked like trying to set the remote control but by the time he left, NOTHING HAS CHANGED!

3. Back on 19 Apr just before I left the hotel for my 1 full day trip, I asked the lady at the front office area if there was any other room that I could use since the AC in the existing room didn't work properly. She told me nope, it was all fully booked for other room and I left the hotel then.

4. Back on 19 Apr at 9pm I got back to the hotel and asked them if they could get the AC fixed, bed sheet and towels changed and then they clarified MY ROOM HAS BEEN SECURED FOR THE OTHER GUEST AND ALL MY BELONGING HAS BEEN PULLED OUT AND PUT THEM ALL LIKE A MESS AT THE RECEPTION!!!

At 9pm I got to try to find any other room and THEY WERE ALL DAMN FULLY BOOKED!

Can you imagine how stressful it was that I had to spend my night at the street in a new place?
This has made my positive perspective about Yogyakarta became a nightmare despite how friendly or soft tone you guys.

Again, all they staff were giving to me was just sorry about the air con, it trouble sometimes. WHAT?
no apology, no specific alternative and helpful recommendation for my stay - JUST NOTHING!

Again, the hotel looks good, the room was ok (except the AC). If this place need a loyal guest or satisfied customer - THOSE THINGS ABOVE ARE THE FIRST THING YOU NEED TO IMPROVE AT THE FIRST STAGE.

Overall i could rate this hotel 3/9.

This hotel is pretty good ,the interior and they have swimming pool
I feel so cozy in this hotel .
Staff are friendly and so helpful all the time .

The hotel stay was comfortable, clean and the staffs are being so helpful all the time. I feel relaxed during my stay. This is because the hotel is a little far from the busy town. And they do accept credit cards for payment which ease my hassle to ATM or money changer

You can get easily get Grab car or even Grab bike to visit the nearby place from the hotel. I took Grab Bile to Malioboro street and Kraton place. This is a wonderful experience because it's been the ages I get a chance to be on the bike.

You can found ATM machine nearby the hotel and alot of local food. At these is walking distance.

And this hotel stay comes with a swimming pool. If you plan to bring your kids to the pool, they would love it.

And the food in the hotel restaurant was delicious but the lunch offers quite late at 2PM. I loved their Ayam Goreng Penyet.

But if you plan to visit Borobudur or Prambanan temple, this hotel is quite far which tales approximately 1hour 40 min to reach the said destinations respectively.

The hotel was good.All the staff are friendly. The room was clean and cozy. The swimming pool area was comfortable. The food also was tasty. The omlet and vegetables salad are our favourite. When we visit yogyakarta for the next trip we will stay in Kalya Hotel again. Thanks for all the best services

this hotel used to be Tune hotel. i knew it because the wifi name still "tune hotel" :D

this hotel located a bit far away from the town center, but dont worry, this hotel located with Yogyakarta's zoo called gembira loka. Surprisingly, in the ground floor they had swimming pool and children playground

the room is superb, very large. I had good quality sleep in this hotel. the breakfast is good, there is many variation menu.
