Budget Inn of Sebring

The front staff at the night shift quoted me $80 for an extended add-on for one night. The next morning when I went into pay after being reassured that it was available when this was the rate I went to the office and found nobody there turned around to see a large face of a girl on a kiosk. This girl said he was looking it up and she said 164 people were coming in standing behind me I already had my card on the machine and I was startled at the charge quoted and I said this is not what I was told I was told I had an additional night at $80 last night and she simply said I quoted you the amount and that is what you have paid and I told her I was not happy is she simply said that is the amount I told you. This girl that was projected on the screen was quite firm and completed. The people were rushing me and now I'm not having any cooperation or refund of the overcharge yet! I am wondering about the no touch check-in checkout and communication between the live humans I spoke with the night before. Personality of the girl completing my transaction ( unnegotiable)

L and the pressure of the people behind me needing her service on my pinch of time left me feeling like I had no alternative but to go at that moment and now I am waiting for a resolution where they don't end up taking my money that I don't feel like they should. I will pay extra if they would understand it was a seven nights day there are discounts for that long of this stay usually.

Staff desperately need customer service training

Expensive for a budget inn, they did not disclose before booking and paying that the pet fee was $75/pet. There wasn't even a person at the front desk, just a robot with a remote worker.

Dirty. Kiosk check in was miserable

Room fixtures were old and out dated. Window would not lock in place. Restroom had areas that were so old and weathered they were not cleanable. Lastly the bath tub was filled of spiders.

No breakfast. No coffee pot. No cups in the room. No nightstands. A metal chair in the bathroom to hold toiletries. Floor had been cleaned, I guess, with something that left a dirty sticky residue and my bare feet left footprints on the bedroom floor. I put a towel down to walk on and the underneath side was black in the morning. Skimpy pillows. Check in was weird with a video screen of a live person, whom I had trouble understanding. Why did you need a copy of my drivers license AND take my picture. Why did I have to leave an additional $50 for security. What could one possible steal??? Was it that bad of a neighborhood? It was a very unfriendly and check in experience.

Roaches in the room

Dirty, we were in room 107 and 108 no toilet paper in room 107, none at all. Bathroom tub had a constant leak mold all built up around it. Need an extra blanket for room 108 for my 91 year old mom and no one on premises to assist us. Very poor customer service, everything virtual. Would not recommend.
