Nice room, with a view over towards the town (Scarborough) and Peasholme Park. The room was clean, supplied with towels, plenty of room.
My main issue that I feel tainted this one night stay was the fact, that my friend (who is currently disabled) was looking forward to using the swimming pool, which would help her hip but she was basically treated with contempt by one of the pool goers when she went into the pool to swim/walk in the water.
The nasty woman is presumably a user of the pool on a regular basis, and while her and 3 other people were using the pool, she wasn't about to let anyone get in her way. The hotel should bar permanently her and any member of the public who treats hotel guests in this manner. I wasn't in the pool, otherwise I would have said something. The names of all pool users are written down in the lobby, so the hotel can track them, etc.

Pool not working that’s the only reason we went and when I’ve looked back it says no children allowed was going to take my son for his birthday as he loves water and it looked a nice secluded place he’d enjoy there.
The place was not the most modern but it was probably the cleanest hotel I’ve ever been in, didn’t get time to do the pool or the jacuzzi but I will on my next visit, breakfast was excellent and finally the staff were excellent and very welcoming.

Lovely food in the restaurant and the leisure facilities were much appreciated after a lot of walking.

Games room unfortunately the pool cues wasn’t good the end fell off one so your stuck playing with kids cues and the table tennis balls 2 was completely broken and the only other one had a dint in the ball so it bounced all over the place other then that fantastic hotel can’t fault it at all
