Ocho Artisan Bungalows offers seven luxurious bungalows, each featuring a king-size bed, two single beds, air conditioning, and large screen windows providing panoramic views. The spacious 600 ft.² bungalows also include a fully equipped kitchen, en-suite bathroom, and indoor/outdoor shower for a comfortable stay.

What an absolute incredible place to stay! Our bungalow was steps away from the pool. We rarely saw anyone else near the pool. The staff were incredibile. Particularly the ‘above and beyond’ mentality that they have. Ilse was incredible, one day she came to find us to tell us the monkeys were in the trees (because she knew how much we wanted to see some). They decorated our bungalow on the day of our wedding anniversary. Pablo was a delight every morning at breakfast and was so friendly. We loved the attention to detail in the furniture and surroundings. We had our anniversary meal under the lights and the member of staff (forgot his name- Italian guy) came and our music in for us. It’s all those lovely little things that make it great. We loved having breakfast on the beach front every morning, watching the squirrels and birds. They were also wonderfully LGBTQ friendly to me and my wife, making us feel so welcome and accepted. The place is very close to everything, just minutes from all the restaurants, a supermarket, cafes and shops, a cute little outdoor park with street food vendors and tables and chairs. It felt quiet and safe, security guards were there at night and they welcomed us when we arrived on our first night after hours. Lots of lovely wildlife- howler monkeys, raccoons, massive iguanas coming to drink from the pool, hummingbirds, etc. It was a perfect stay.
When we arrived late at night, our bungalow had lots of mosquitos in and we got a lot of bites that night. We bought fly spray the next day at the shop and it was fine after that. Not a complaint at all (we know it’s very jungley !)- more just a recommendation that a can of spray could be left in the room for guests to use when they first arrive, that would have been great especially as it was too late to get anything from the shop. You will need mosquito repellent for your body and the room, but that’s jungles for you!

De bungalow is ronduit prachtig. Wat een luxe uitstraling en heerlijke bedden! Ook een ventilator op ons terras, een zitje en een lekker lui day-bed. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam, ze doen hun best om je naam te onthouden en gaan tot het uiterste om het je naar je zin te maken. Heerlijke ocho-cocktail bij aankomst en ook het eten is heerlijk. Prachtige dieren gespot: hagedissen, leguanen, brulapen, eekhoorntjes, vogels... En onze host Ilse loopt de benen uit haar lijf om iedereen in alles te voorzien wat je maar zou kunnen wensen! We waren hier graag een paar dagen langer gebleven!

Het personeel was super vriendelijk en deden er alles aan om het na je zin te maken. De bungalows zijn prachtig en comfortabel.

Staff were above and beyond wonderful! It is a gorgeous location with comfortable amenities and excellent food. Honestly, one of the best breakfasts in Costa Rica.

This location is absolutely stunning. I definitely recommend this for anyone trying to escape the normal spots in town. It’s quiet with amazing views and perfect seating for sunsets.
The staff was amazing!!! Else was the best. She attended to all of our needs and then some. Pablo, Nancy, Jimmy and Bryan were awesome. They went out their way to make sure we always felt like part of the family. Even the owner talked with us and asked if had suggestions to make our experience better.

If you are looking for an amazing place to stay, you found it!!! The staff made my wife and I feel like family. They can help you with anything that you need from recommendations to any extras, they can make it happen. Shout out to Else, Pablo, Jimmy, Nancy and Bryan for making our vacation an amazing experience. We will go back!!!
Ocho Bungalows was an all-around fantastic place to stay for folks interested in traveling to the Costa Rican beachfront. The staff was incredibly kind, particularly the barstaff and Ilse the concierge, and the property was beautiful. Parking is safe and free. Breakfast is included. Happy hour has great prices, and the food is overall good for the area! Free lounging access is consistently available for the Beach Club, which is a coveted spot to spend an afternoon if beaching in Tamarindo. The room itself is incredibly unique, too! There is too much to say about the resort in such a short space, so just book and see for yourself! You will not regret it.

My husband and I stayed at Ocho in March for our anniversary. Absolutely stunning property! It is in the heart of the town of Tamarindo but you wouldn't know it. The property is surrounded by beautiful landscaping. You feel secluded but you can walk into town for nightlife and food, so cool! The food on property is so good! The staff, so attentive, so kind and fun! Isle was the absolute best!
Wonderful staff, Ilse was absolutely amazing and booked us reservations at restaurants in town and booked us excursions, she always made sure we were taken care of and is very skilled at her job. The cleaning staff was amazing and made sure our room was cleaned and stocked everyday. The wait staff was also wonderful, we loved Pablo! The grounds were beautiful and so peaceful, we loved the pool and relaxing on the beach during sunset. The food and drinks were amazing, the bungalow was an absolute dream, and loved watching the fire show and listening to the DJ while relaxing on a day bed.

Much quieter end of the main beach, and with great access to boats and excursions. Incredibly friendly staff. Ilsa, Giovanni and Sylvia were very welcoming. Rooms were private and ours (#3) had a nice amount of shade.
