Home in HCMC
Pros:

Three time to HCMC and all stay here. Hong Han is the best fit of my need, very convenient, very practical and useful, clean and cozy. the room rate is wonderful. The only sad thing is no space to park motorbike in front the hotel anymore and you have to park the parking lot in 923 Park, not too far.

Does the job
Pros:

This hotel is on “walking street” so right in the heart of all the action - just be prepared for it!
Also if you arrive late the grill shutter will be down - don’t panic as there is a buzzer but would be nice to know in advance. Also, no email address on website so you have to call if you want to organise anything in advance.
They charge $10 for airport shuttle so a taxi at about 250d is better.
A bit tired but a good location for a short stay. Breakfast very basic. Could do with a good safe in the room based on location.

Great value
Pros:

Nice room on a very busy street. Comfy beds and great aircon. Short walk from main attractions. Fab for the price. Lovely people. We did a recommended tour to the Mekong delta which was so good.

Good location, clean basic hotel
Pros:

we went early and fortunately there was a room ready, so i could check in early (early check in is highly dependant on availability!).

the room was small and basic, but had everything you need- towel, hangers, toothbrush, comb, shampoo, soap, fridge, telly, air con and a fan.

everything was clean, the only thing to note is that you need to take off your shoes and store them in a small cupboard before going up the stairs to the rooms, and that there are no elevators so if you have a luggage, be prepared to lug it up the tiny stairwell.

breakfast was good, with free flow black coffee, tea, (milk on the side) juice, with choice of bread (baguette) with a style of eggs.

Pleasant oasis in a somewhat hectic neighborhood
Pros:

Enjoyed my stay - staff were friendly and helpful, simple breakfasts were a good first shot of energy in the morning, location fantastic if you want to be in the middle of the backpacker action, but also at a remove from it. Note: the rooms facing the street on the lower floors might not feel this way, it's very noisy out on the street. I was in the back, however, and could barely hear the street noise.

General nice hotel and staff are very helpful
Pros:

Generally good hotel in a good location. The staff are very helpful and friendly. But it is a bit noise during the night due to it's location just beside a noise street and the windows are poor in sound proofing. If can provide more furniture such as side table and more chairs, a water cooker in the room will be better. The shower jel, shampoo, and tooth brush/paste are very lousy. Please improve.

Great care -- not the best facilities
Pros:

Ms. Thu was the most charming person in all of Saigon and did more than enough to take care of us. We never complained about the room but it was on the dingier side, with less than comfortable sheets and the bathrooms aren't very updated. The value was there but they would be better off calling themselves a hostel. Great for a hostel....not so great for a hotel. Love Ms. Thu though...I'd actually go back just for her. My sister and I adore her. Also the WIFI was so slow...almost unusable at times. I complained to the other girl...maybe her name was Trang? I'm not sure...she said she checked and it was fine...I guess.

Great choice while in Ho Chi Min City
Pros:

Hong Han Hotel was a good place to stay while in Ho Chi Min City. It was located in the heart of a busy street but was quite enough at night. The staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean.

Nice hotel but probably overpriced
Pros:

Nice basic hotel, friendly staff.
No elevator so higher rooms are problematic. Very basic shower (no seperation with toilet). Almost no hot water throughout our 3 night stay. Pretty good location but a little overpriced considering its minuses.

Nice, clean hotel with sweet family.
Pros:

This little family run hotel was very pleasant to stay in. We felt very welcomed, with smiley faces and great attitude, the room (back room) was very quiet off the craziness of district 1. Breakfast was decent enough with choice of eggs, noodles, rice and fresh bread every morning, it came with tea and coffee and fruit and orange juice that wasn't natural, and I didn't really like, this was served in a small cute balcony, where we could meet other travelers. Would recommend it as a low budget hotel in a great area.

Spectacular Service!
Pros:

Hong Han Hotel is great! It is located right in the heart of the backpacker district with easy access to a wide variety of vegan and vegetarian restaurants, cafes, spa treatments, art studios and just about anything else you could ask for. So the location is stellar. The nightlife outside is both vibrant and safe. I am very sensitive to noise, and I did not have any trouble due to the goings on outside because our room had double paned glass. Our bathroom was well laid out, which is pretty rare in Vietnam. Kim, who runs Hong Han, arranged for a taxi to take us to and from the airport, managed our laundry for us, recommended places for us to eat (we're fussy vegans), showed us some out of the way places to see, and helped us steer clear of a couple bad deals. Breakfast was fresh, timely and plentiful, the wifi was good, the room was clean, and the air con was strong. The hotel is very safe and has a reasonable set of rules. Our plans changed midstream and Kim was able to accommodate us easily. We will definitely stay at Hong Han again!
