Herbert Samuel Hod Dead Sea Hotel

We booked a spontaneous vacation for the same day, booked at 1:00 PM, arrived around 7:00 PM. We asked politely, since we arrived so late, if there was a chance to extend our stay and delay the check-out time (especially as Gold VIP customers at Hotels.com) and he answered aggressively and rudely - no!!!!! with no desire to help or be helpful. I emphasize that it was not a busy time, the desk was free of guests. The hotel elevators are busy and not synchronized, we had dinner at the hotel next door (paid of course) because the hotel food looked really bad (even guests who left said it was not tasty)

We went Passover week, so the hotel was very crowded, and the daytime staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. However, we really enjoyed the dining room breakfast (included), and the patios. Parking lot is small, so you have to get lucky to snag a spot (although it is free to park). The pool water feels chilly, pool towels are hard to get, and lunch options are limited. The dinner buffet was $35 USD per person, so we walked to the Ein Bokek Restaurant (seriously good hummus) for a cheaper meal most nights. I agree that this place has the look of luxury, but is missing the extra service elements to justify the high price (slow check in, poor towel service). Overall, this still might be the best option for entry level luxury, and the location on the water is excellent.

Wow, first time to replace an hotels although i was there for 30 minutes total and the hotels still had more available rooms. Yet when we saw the rooms- all the balconies around were near us and the pool was crowded, there wasn’t even ketchup left by the pool restaurant which offered only sausages and chips like we are children.
No parking nearby which is a big bummer and the staff os not at all polite

I paid 2000 shackels for this 30 minutes, although the hotel had more available rooms left, like our money is not important.

Really not recommended.

The room was old but preserved ok.
Good beach access. SPA was ok (basic) but the food was the worst I have ever seen! Worst ever from all the hotels/hostels I have visited. Didn’t expect that from this chain.

Une personne devant le parking qui vous dit que vous pouvez pas rentré dans le parking alors qui a des places et vous met dehors et vous payez le parking extérieur ensuite ne demande de fermer un parasol alors qui a beaucoup de vent et au bout de 20 min toujours personnes et bien sûr arrivé ce qui arrive le parasol tombe et écrase nos transat heureusement que je suis sortie en courant et que j était pas entrain de dormir ou sinon ça aurai était catastrophique vous êtes une honte vous et votre hôtel horrible a l accueil quand il on vu que j’avais les vidéos et les photos il mon dit de supprimer de suite les photos ce que j ai bien sûr refusé et il se sont énerver contre nous vous êtes la honte de la chaîne hôtel j’ai transfèrer les photos et vidéo à mon avocat pour voir qu’elle peux être la procédure avec le numéro de téléphone des personnes présentes au bord de la piscine tout le monde a halluciné et venu nous voir si on allez bien. Et pour finir nous étions avec des amis avec qui il ont même pas faire la chambre de la journée et qui il sont retourner à l accueil pour leur dire il ont dit il y a plus de personnel à cette heure une blague l’hôtel et tout ça pour plus 350 euros la nuit et sans oublier si vous êtes au grill que vous payer en espèce ou en carte bancaire le prix différent du vol .

Comfortable

The hotel is priced as a 5 star hotel and has the services and facilities of a 3 star hotel that are shabby. In the bathroom of the "upgraded" room the wooden door was rotted from the shower water. The food at breakfast was ok, we stayed from Friday to Sunday, dinner on Saturday was at a nearby hotel, Milos, with leftovers from the previous meal.

Nous nous sommes fait hurler dessus au petit déjeuner car l’endroit où nous voulions nous assoir était fermé.
Ensuite, le parking était complet ils nous ont donc dis d’aller nous garer ailleurs. Que ce n’était pas leur problème. Le directeur lui même nous a dit  si vous n’êtes pas content partez !  je n’ai jamais entendu ça dans un hôtel.
Il y a d’autres hôtels dans ce merveilleux endroit qui sauront vous satisfaire

Good hotel

The hotel was in poor shape and seemed dirty

Rooms are not clean , look terrible. Swimming pool not good. Staff is not helpful. We took 2 rooms for family and canceled our reservation with this hotel. To stay here is not possible for family who wants to rest with children. The building is too old

Short staffed front desk and very limited beach access spa hours diminished experience. The food and the facilities are first class.
