This was an overnight stay and we didn't know what to expect on this first time
visit to the area
This hotel was wonderful. The staff, cleanliness and room were great
A special acknowledgement to the friendly and helpful breakfast employee who went above and beyond to ensure everyone was taken care of.
No complaints
Karen the staff on duty when we arrived was the best! She was SO helpful and accommodating! :) It's a very cozy place with a great breakfast!
Excellent friendly service
Great place for our wedding guests!
The whole hotel was very clean, the staff was very nice. The grounds around the hotel was very well kept up. Its very convenient to everything in town.
It is always comfortable and the hostess no matter who is, always polite and easy to work with.
N/A
The room was spacious and having a fridge and microwave was very useful. Facilities like bar and restaurant added to the experience. Overall an exceptionally good hotel if visiting Appomattox and surrounding areas.
The pool could have done with a few shade umbrellas. It was blazing hot when we were there.
Food was good but the breakfast attendant was even better. Nancy was so polite and accommodating to us all.
We tried several times to call the hotel on the drive down but keep getting voicemail.
Eventually, we just left a message and received a return call later but it was already too late.
We were trying to get dressed before a wedding but ended up changing at a nearby restaurant.
The rooms were very nice
The staff at front desk was not so friendly to our team as they was hanging out 2gether in the lobby and would also not alawy our athletes to use the gym equipment
From the moment we walked in, we knew this place was well maintained. The pleasant aroma throughout the entire Inn was was so pleasing and inviting. The room was exceptionally clean. The breakfast was great and compliments were heard being said by several guests. This place made our stay in Appotomax even more enjoyable!
Absolutely nothing in our opinion.
I stay there once a year, in June each year. It is always clean, always friendly, always comfortable. I feel like I know many of the people who work there, having encountered them in June of each year for several years. I think that the Appomattox Inn is the most civilized, modern, elegant refuge in the whole area which is otherwise very rural and off the beaten path. There are plenty of elegant farms surrounding it, owned by the landed gentry no doubt. If you can't afford one of those for your very own, you can still find civilized elegance in your lodgings for a pittance at Appomattox Inn. I hate going home!
If you sleep late, you might miss the included breakfast; it ends at 9am. I still would not stay anywhere else in the area!
It’s a great place with friendly staff.
The chair in the room was uncomfortable
The location was quiet and clean and the breakfast was good.
The a/c aggravated my allergies a bit. Would recommend they clean the dust from the a/c unit or curtains.
The very comfortable rocker recliner in our room.
Attn: Dana Mayberry, General Manager Appomattox Inn
Dear Sir or Maam: My son and I were residents on both June 8 & 9 in rooms 315 & 318 respectively. The accommodations were quite adequate, even nice.
However, the housekeeping department does need attention. My son’s room 318 was cleaned, the bed made, and the towels replaced and the room was presentable for the second night.
On the other hand, my room 315 was not. The used towels were removed, but that was it. There were enough clean towels for the second night, however. But the wastebaskets were not emptied, coffee was not replaced, the bed was not remade and only one of the two tvs in the room was not working. Since there seemed to be a question, I carried one of the wastebaskets to the front desk clerk and asked that she show you the wastebasket the following day.
I felt this that this was important enough for you to be notified. It reflects negatively on what should have been a decent experience in a nice appearing INN.
Respectfully, R. C. Dix
Great location and very friendly and efficient staff
Some of room furniture very worn
