what a wonderful visit....we love visiting this Spa. This time we even tried a yoga class. The yoga instructor 'matt' was so welcoming and patient with us, we really enjoyed it. Pool was quieter than usual today which was bliss. Lovely treatment and food was as good as always. Special thanks to Harriet and our Therapist Amy. See you again soon ❤️
Afternoon tea at Moor Hall was £30 a head and, frankly, I’ve had better from a petrol station meal deal.
The sandwiches were dry, the scones could have doubled as building materials, and most of the cakes looked like they’d been waiting patiently since Tuesday. The only thing that seemed fresh was the coffee cake.
Lovely building, lovely grounds, but serving stale food and calling it afternoon tea is taking the biscuit. Unfortunately, that biscuit was probably stale too.
Very disappointing.
Hosted my sister's baby shower here in May 2026 and it was such a wonderful event! Massive thank you to Beth and Millie who looked after us and all of our guests with the utmost professionalism, kindness and positivity!! Nothing was too much for the team and every need was anticipated and catered to. The grounds here are beautiful and we can't recommend highly enough
The breakfast was good.
Pillows were uncomfortable and bed a little hard
Great Sunday carvery lunch. Food was plentiful with many choices. Excellent choice of starters, 3 roasts plus more I think, and hot and cold sweets. Really great valuefor money. The staff were so helpful.
We stayed at Moorhall for two nights with our friends, we had two superior doubles and were really pleased with our rooms and the added touches of crisps, flavoured and sparkling water along with biscuits to have with our tea/coffee or drinking chocolate.
On arrival we ordered a light lunch and drinks and enjoyed the large comfortable deck area overlooking the beautifully maintained gardens.
In the evening we ate in the Oak room and had delicious meals with all accompaniments and piping hot. The staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. In the mornings we ate in the other dining room and the staff here met us with a smile and welcomed us in, they organised our drinks and what we wanted ordering from the menu such as fried eggs/omelette etc. Everything was cooked perfectly and served piping hot. We chatted to the lovely ladies who served us on both days and our needs were met at all times.
We did use the spa, the pool was a great size but the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were on the small side but all in good working order. It was spotless in all areas.
It was nice to see the hotel was staffed well in all areas as some hotels fail in this.
We have returned home today but would return to this lovely hotel in a heartbeat.
Thank you to all the amazing staff!
Beautiful country house.. interior suited mine and partners style to a t!
We are now planning on getting married at this hotel!
We booked a spa day and overnight stay with an evening meal and sadly, we were extremely disappointed. The massage we both had was terrible and the therapist didn’t know what she was doing and actually made both our backs worse! One of them belched during the treatment and think my lady fell asleep at one point! The spa facilities are extremely basic and consisted of a very large swimming pool and a tiny jacuzzi (3 people max). The steam room and sauna was also tiny and no where near enough sun loungers to accommodate all the guests. We thought we would get our robes at the spa but then to be told they can’t give us any robes and actually in our room. I asked since we were not told that and would like to put on a robe after our massages could we have one. We were refused and told to go to our room to get them. Meaning I had to put my clothes on after my oily massage which was comfortable at all. Also, I have never ever been to a spa day where you can use the facilities from 10am. I was told you couldn’t use them until 3pm. This is ludicrous and never experienced this before and been on many spa packages. The evening meal was pleasant but both of our dishes didn’t come with the accompanying sauce, so was bone dry. We of course asked for the sauce and the staff rectified. The hotel grounds are stunning and did enjoy sitting outside having a drink. We booked here as slightly more expensive than all the other spas and thought this would be special. Sadly it wasn’t and if you are looking for an amazing spa and massage experience, avoid at all cost!
Have booked, money taken and no confirmation of the booking. Tried to raise this with the chat function on their website (AI) and was told someone would be in touch. No response. I have called the hotel twice and both times been on hold for over 10 minutes and been unable to get through
The food we had in the Oak Room was fantastic!!The portions were big, it was so flavourful and the service was so quick!
We then stayed overnight - now we are in the middle of a heatwave, the air con was working but because of where it was placed it took a long time for the room to cool down. Although the rooms are not quite as modern as everywhere else, the beds were comfy, the shower was 10/10 and everything else was good.
We then used the Spa facilities- super clean and easy to use. Following our treatments we realised how welcome and friendly and helpful the staff were.
A fabtasic one night stay, would recommend to anyone!
I stayed for my wedding night and the staff set out some strawberries and chocolates for us and upgraded our room for free. We were very impressed with the service.
We
I’m so disappointed at this place. I booked the place for a birthday suprise to arrive with stains on the bed and on the carpet. The room was so warm and no air conditioning either in the warm weather. Me and my partner decided to spend most of the evening away as I was so upset. In the morning the queue was horrendous,I couldn’t complain or speak to the manager. I placed the key card in the box. It’s unacceptable. I paid a lot of money and expected cleanliness to say the least. On the side there was flapjacks with ants crawling all over the table. A birthday that was ruined.
Location next to golf club, friendly bar staff
Being picky… walk to rooms from breakfast… size of breakfast room…,cost of drinks
I ate in the oak restaurant yesterday, food was lovely and service was great, especially my server Lydia who made me feel extra special and welcomed.
the property is beautiful. With lovely gardens
A little run down in certain areas.
It was significantly overcrowded. Weddings. External events. Hotel guests.
The outside area given to external guests as a priority to the determinant of hotel guests.
Staff over worked. General up keep on busy days non existent- dirty dishes, glasses, everywhere.
When this was mentioned at reception basically was told we were lying as they were two managers and they know better!!!!
Not great.
Beautiful hotel in stunning grounds. The room was spotless, with a shower and a bath and had a lovely view of the gardens.
The spa was lovely and we were lucky with the weather so enjoyed the wellness walk in the woods, and a glass of wine at one of the many outdoor seats.
We ate in the Oak Room and both meals were freshly prepared and worth the money. Breakfast was great, with loads of choice.
All the staff were lovely and made an effort to say hello
