The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was fine. Good tea & coffee making facilities in our room.
We turned up 1 hour earlier than the checkin time and appreciate they were busy so we had to wait. We asked if we could buy a cup of tea but they said that wasn't possible. I felt that was disappointing.

Didn't have a bar
Front of house staff so friendly, but breakfast staff not so, no tongs to pick up food, no egg options offered, eggs arrived after we finished breakfast, would be nice to have bread rolls and croissant options.
Room very comfortable and clean, but could hear the people above walking around.
Improve breakfast options, be asked upon arriving for breakfast what eggs you would like and then help ourselves to the rest of the food available. Back ground music for breakfast would be nice to lighten the mood.

Very basic. No toiletries. The towels were yellow & stained. The pillows were old & uncomfortable
Only good thing about this hotel is the location.
Everything, hotel is tired and dated, as in decoration, carpets, the tiles in bathroom look like they were fitted in the 70s, no hot water, I repeat NO HOT WATER, I was told at 07:30 on a Sunday morning that it was being fixed!! It never was, I also reckon they knew the night before but didnt say anything on check in, as we were late checking in, but someone was still there to meet and placate us.
location and view were very good also to had good parking facility.
Beds weren’t very comfortable and pillows were poor, towel was stained and room wasn’t serviced between 1st and 2nd night, breakfast was very average. One of the two rooms we had also had a flickering light in the bath room and the shower wouldn’t run cold just boiling hot.

Great location - even though didn't have sea view could still hear the sea
The bar was shut - previously parents had visited the bar for a drink and sea view
The Location is perfect
On arrival, we were told the boiler had broken. so there was no hot water, no food and no bar..
Having driven all day to arrive this is not what you expect to hear.
They had our phone number, as they had previously called 3 times to confirm we were attending, could they not call us to explain the issues.
Clean and well decorated
A recent change of ownership has changed from a superb hotel to an impersonal bed and breakfast with no other meals and no bar. Doors close st 5pm and entry is by entering numbers
A strong complaint at Booking.com for not detailing the present situation and change.

There were no staff on duty, no cctv, no bar or restaurant. We didn’t bother staying at the hotel because it had such a horrible feel to it. We checked in to the Union Inn in Cowes instead which was the complete opposite.

Morgenmad fra 7.30 men døren var spærret og kokken blev rasende over at man gik ind da han ventede et stort selskab på 15 mand og man måtte ikke gå ind. Men alle andre gæster på hotellet har jo også morgenmad fra 7.30?? Servicen var total ringe og ikke muligt at få et stykke ristet brød lidt før 7.30 hvis man var nødt til at gå tidligere end morgenmad. Alle dage var døren spærret. Har aldrig oplevet noget lignende før. Kan ikke anbefale at overnatte her.
The Manager, Mike, was amazing and Chris the reception was very helpful. The hotel has an amazing location and the sea view room (no 11) truly delivered. We had a problem, which was attended to immediately. Great plans coming so worth a stay
Unfortunately, the hot water was not working, but we met an amicable resolution very quickly, other than that, no issues
