Below standard for the price
Pros:

It ‘s location

Cons:

The property seems to be running on auto pilot, we stayed there last year and enjoyed. This year there seems to be no personal connection with guests and staff, house keeping on request, self entry with key boxes out side the rooms. Very limited bar service, breakfast not up to standard for #18.95 per person. Appears there may have been a change of ownership or Management!

It was spacious and clean not much around it so we walked into town which takes about 20 minutes but lots going on once
Pros:

It was dog friendly. Big and airy. Clean. Free parking

Cons:

No staff after 5pm. No bar yet. No where to eat apart from breakfast. Bed was hard.

The location was lovely with great views over the Solent and super for viewing the sunset from the terrace (if you could get on it)

Cons:

We stayed when exceptionally hot in June and the room especially the bathroom (despite only using cold water due to the heat). There was no separate fan (usually founded in wardrobes) only a ceiling fan which worked but not effective. There was no bar as expected which wasn't an issue but the staff locked the doors onto the terraces when they left at 5!!

Adequate for most of our needs
Pros:

Veranda

Cons:

No ability to just have a capucino in the morning.
A fridge in the room would be useful so we could buy some wine and keep it cold so we could sit out on the fantastic veranda.
Room was very hot, though fan available was good.
Such a shame it had been reduced to a B&B with no bar.

We made the best of a bad hotel
Pros:

luckily it was warm weather so the 20 min walk into the town to get food was ok

Cons:

No facilities, No restaurant, pay full amount upfront with no refund. The hotel has been recently taken over and they it appears that they are riding on the back of the last owners and good reviews when there was a restaurant .
No way is it worth the money .
No staff on site after 5pm
The hotel is a poor b and b at best .
Breakfast was cooked but self serve tea etc and not great.

Very nice, hotel, nice staff, a good stay overall

The hotel is lovely, but no vibe, with no restaurant or bar,
They could make more effort, in serving food or snacks and a small bar for guests.
We didn't take the car, so it was a long walk to restaurants, were told we could get meals delivered, and they would find cutlery and glasses, for us to sit outside on the decking.
We didn't bother.
Our room was very nice, but downstairs, no view and a tiny patch of sky to be seen only.
They should give a description of the rooms downstairs.
They could do a lot better
I booked because I had been told, how fabulous it was, but I think they've changed it fairly recently
I hope they re think and make decent changes.

Don't stay here
Pros:

Where to start. Nice location, convenient parking,comfy bed...thats it! Disinterested staff, no restaurant bar or facilities, info online very misleading. No TV remote so asked at reception at 3.10pm, They would provide one shortly - that never happened. The previous guests rubbish was still in the bins and the room was like a sauna when we arrived. We were told all staff leave at 5pm so we could sit on the terrace but doors would be locked at 5pm. No food available but they could provide us with plates and cutlery but we had to order takeaway. We were sitting on the terrace and at 4.55pm deciding what to order and they locked us out! Got back in after walking around and they had all gone, no plates no assistance no customer service. Great location but stay somewhere else where staff actually help!

Everything except parking, don't stay here

On my list of prefered hotels for the island :-)
Pros:

I liked the location, the bed was amazing and the choice of bath or shower. The Internet access was excellent and supported vpn to the company server without a hitch.

Cons:

I didn't see anywhere to buy Softdrinks or small snacks if one arrives later in the evening.

Sehr gut gelegenes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal.
Pros:

Das Hotel ist direkt am Strand gelegen ( Steinstrand). Man kommt zu Fuß in 10 min in die belebtere Innenstadt.
Das Hotel hat fast alles was man braucht. Leider war das Restaurant geschlossen. Das Frühstück ist typisch British.

Aiming to go down-market under new ownership, such a shame.

Beautiful location with sunsets over the Solent

Cons:

I have stayed here many times over the past 5 years on business. Business has recently been taken over and given a lick of paint but cost-cutting is evident everywhere - limited reception hours, self check-in using emailed PIN number, no evening food, no bar, economy breakfast. Sadly, I will no longer be able to recommend it to colleagues or customers.
