Great location and ample parking in the country
Pros:

Great location in the country and ample parking

Cons:

Wasn’t much heating on a cold evening. Heat comes on late and shuts off early before starting again in the morning.

Exactly as expected with first class staff.
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent. It would have been average, but the facility to have eggs for example poached and delivered an excellent addition. We found the hotel staff the most friendly, polite and helpful in fact they were as good or better than in any hotel we have stayed including 4 and 5 star

Cons:

Given price and service couldn’t be better. Location a bit tricky when traffic heavy but there is nothing you can do about that

Pros:

Location, parking. Room was ok, good selection of tea and coffee. Although a buffet breakfast, good selection to suit all tastes but only scrambled eggs available.

Cons:

Bathroom was cramped and shower could be better. TV sound was bad.

Pros:

Lovely setting and friendly staff.

Cons:

The mattress was rock hard and a floodlight on the lawn lit the room up pretty bright. The light needs to be angled down or not be on at all after about 10/11pm.

A pleasant and relaxed evening and I felt like I was at home.
Pros:

All the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent both for our evening meal and for breakfast. I was very happy with the service, the warm welcome and the friendliness. The bar area was very pleasant and the views from the outside terrace were stunning.

Cons:

The dining area was somewhat sterile and would definitely benefit from a make over to give a warmer feel for evening dinner. The tables and layout did not seem to fit the grandeur of the old building and the dining environment didn't do justice to the quality of the food which was exceptional.
