Stayed for 3 nights in April. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was ideal. Parking wasn't a problem. Staff were friendly.
Window had an internal view into the public hallway so anyone passing could see in which meant curtains had to be constantly drawn so no natural light, this also brought noise as people walked passed either talking or pulling luggage. Beyond the hallway was a spectacular view of a petrol station.
In the morning I went for breakfast and was very much looking forward to it.. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, but it never came. The people I was with all got breakfast and after a while I had to get up and ask where mine was. The server hadn't written my order down and claimed I hadn't ordered (I did), so I had to forfeit as I didn't have time to wait around for it and the other people in my group had already eaten and started to leave. It was however deducted from my bill when I explained what had happened when checking out.
I was also woken abruptly by the fire alarm which went off at around 7am for a good 10 minutes. Not nice to be woken by a klaxon blasting straight to the eardrums!! There wasn't even a fire or drill. An apology at check out would have been nice but no.

Room we had number 6 was a bit tired even though it looked as though there had been some attempt to update the furniture.
Great location and price for an overnight stay in Newmarket. Easy walk into the town.
Not much air extraction in the bathroom, had to make sure the door was closed so the alarm wasn’t triggered.
The location was very good and the staff were great.
Rooms very basic, in need of upgrading as they looked like they had not been done since 1970’s.
Hotel Alarms going off at 07;30 on Sunday morning with no explanation or apology.
Will be looking for a refund of some kind.
Staff very, very helpful in storing my bicycle, and storing my pannier to collect later in the day after I had checked out. Bar food good.

Breakfast was not so great, but good value, if you wanted. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Great location…short walk into town or up to Warren Hill gallops. Comfortable & clean room. All the staff - helpful and friendly. Always a great breakfast here and this time also enjoyed dinner in the restaurant - superbly cooked lamb’s liver!..
