Welcoming hotel, where you feel at home when you arrive.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Evening meal was lovely. We didn't have breakfast. Car park behind the building. The bed was comfortable. The room needs a repaint.
Shower curtain had mould on the bottom and behind the taps. Our room was very hot even with fan.
The location and the friendly staff
The mattress was too soft and sunk in. No bedroom slippers & bath robes as listed in booking.
l'embiance générale; personnel sympathique. l'hotel est bien situé dans la villeeeeeee.
la chambre (208) était un peu lugubre et sombre. le repas du soir (fish&chips) n'était pas des meilleurs ( chips a moitié cuits)
Comfort of the room
It was a particularly hot weekend and it was a challenge to keep the room cool at night but fan did the job.
Room directly above the function suite, so noise level was considerable until party ended.
Loved the location. We had a room overlooking the Square which was great.
Nothing!
Nice room
Nice bar
Nice dining room
One of the young staff was abrupt when trying to get seated for dinner.
Everything
Dirty towel in bathroom
Location. Cleanliness and facilities.
Standard glazing does not keep out the noise of the street. Closing time at other venues see the street fill with noisy people - obviously enjoying their night but being loud and I could hear every word. 02:00am I managed to get to sleep.
The bed was fine and the bathroom. Breakfast was okay too, as was the hotel location.
The room was very slanted with concrete ceiling and when going to make a drink where the kettle was, you had to duck so you didnt bash your head.
Friendly staff, beautiful room and fabulous food
Nothing not to like
The location was great
The team were really friendly
Nothing
Very friendly staff, excellent town centre location. We will definitely consider another visit to the Kings Head later in the year.
No aircon in the room, but its an older building and the weather was exceptionally warm on the evening we stayed, so its not a criticism as such and a desk fan was provided to get a air circulation in the room.
The location and bedroom.
The smell on the stairs.
Very friendly staff.good location and lots of shops.
There was no lift and it was a bit of a slog up three flights of stairs.
The location
Lack of staff broken hairdryer that I asked to be replaced after going to reception with wet hair as there are no phones in the room. It wasn’t replaced free asking several times. No one on reception so had to ask bar staff who were over worked as there were only 2 people on an big event was being held there
